Days before Iran\u2019s sham presidential<\/a> election calls for the nationwide boycott have amplified. Video clips on social media show family members of the Iranian regime\u2019s victims joining the campaign of boycotting the regime\u2019s sham election. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Elham\u00a0Afkari, the sister of Navid\u00a0Afkari<\/a>, Iran\u2019s wrestling champion<\/a>, executed in September 2020, in a post on Instagram, expressed her decision for boycotting the regime\u2019s election. She underlined that due to the regime\u2019s crime in downing the Ukrainian passenger jet in 2020, killing of innocent protesters during the major Iran protests in November 2019 and the execution of her brother Navid\u00a0Afkari\u00a0and mistreatment of her other two brothers, currently detained, she would not participate in the election.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI will not betray 80 million Iranians. I will not betray those killed in the November 2019<\/a> uprising. I will not betray\u00a0<\/span>176 innocent persons<\/span><\/a>\u00a0who perished in the\u00a0sky.\u00a0I will not betray the pure blood of my innocent brother, Navid. I will not betray my brothers who have been incarcerated in solitary for 273 days, and I will not vote,\u201d she underlined.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Prior to Ms.\u00a0Afkari, mothers of the martyrs of November 2019 called for the boycott of the regime\u2019s sham election and underlined their vote is \u201cthe regime\u2019s overthrow.\u201d\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cFor the sake of my son\u2019s bled, shed unjustly, I will neither forgive nor forget. I seek justice for all the young people slain in November 2019. My vote is for the overthrow and annihilation of the regime,\u201d said the mother of Mohsen\u00a0Jafarpanah, a martyr of November 2019 protests.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI join with all the November 2019 martyrs\u2019 mothers, and I cry out loud that \u2018my vote is for the regime\u2019s overthrow,\u2019\u201d said the mother of Mohammad Taheri.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cFor the bullet-riddled heart of my 18-year-old son, for the white hair of the mothers whose children have existed only in a frame for the past 42 years, I vote for the regime\u2019s overthrow,\u201d said Ms. Mahboubeh Ramezani, mother of Iran protests martyr Pejman\u00a0Qolipour.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIn the name of the martyrs of the path of freedom. I am Reza\u00a0Salmanzadeh. I am the father of Mahdi\u00a0Salmanzadeh, who was martyred in for the freedom of Iran. In the past 42 years, I have never voted for the Islamic Republic, and I will never vote for it. I will do everything to overthrow this sinister Islamic Republic regime and its leaders. Long live freedom. Shame on the Islamic Republic,\u201d said Reza\u00a0Salmanzadeh\u00a0father of slain protester Mehdi\u00a0Salmanzadeh.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cMy name is Iran\u00a0Allahyari. I am the mother of martyr Mehrdad\u00a0Moinfar, who was killed in November 2019. I will not turn a blind eye to the unjust murder of my only son. I will neither forgive nor forget. They turned my only son into a picture frame. I am suffering. They destroyed my life. For all those grieving parents, all those brothers and sisters who are grieving, I will not vote. My vote is regime change,\u201d said Ms.\u00a0Allahyari, mother of martyr Mehrdad\u00a0Moinfar.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI am the mother of Hossain\u00a0Ghanavati, who was innocently killed in November 2019 in\u00a0Behbahan\u00a0by the Islamic Republic\u2019s security forces. I seek justice for the blood of my son, unjustly shed. We, the grieving mothers [of martyrs], ask you to echo our voice abroad. We, the mothers of November 2019 [martyrs], will not vote. I miss the innocent smile of my son. The Islamic Republic took my loved one from me. I did not have a good day since Hossain died. I do not want anything else; I\u2019m losing my sight. They took everything from me,\u201d said the mother of Iran protest martyr, Hossain\u00a0Ghanavati.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI am Amir Hossain\u2019s mother. They took my hope from me. They ruined my world. For the sake of the blood of these children, I ask Iranians that shed innocently in November 2019, do not to vote. Our vote is regime change,\u201d said the mother of Amir Hossain\u00a0Zarezadeh.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI am the mother of\u00a0Sarou\u00a0Ghahremani, a martyr of Iran protests in 2018. For the sake of unjustly spilled of my son and other martyrs for the cause of freedom, I will not vote,\u201d said the mother of martyr\u00a0Sarou\u00a0Ghahremani.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI ask you people: how could you go and vote. If you want to vote, come and look at Ebrahim\u2019s children, then go vote. Look at the slain youths, look at their grieving mothers, then go vote. I have been grieving for two years, crying with Ebrahim\u2019s children here. Where is government? What government? Shame on this government. People look, Rouhani was in the office, look what they did to people\u2019s youths. What would they do no? Who would they bring to power?\u201d said the mother of Ebrahim\u00a0Ketabdar, a martyr of Iran protests.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The family members of the Iranian regime\u2019s victims are among many other walks of life in Iran joining the campaign of boycotting the regime\u2019s sham presidential election. In recent days, Iranians abroad have also joined this campaign and echoed calls for regime change in Iran in European countries.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Resistance Units of the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran\u00a0<\/span>(PMOI\/MEK)<\/span><\/a>\u00a0have played a major role in popularizing the campaign of boycotting the regime\u2019s sham election since April.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\n

According to the MEK\u2019s website, \u201cThe campaign was launched<\/span>\u00a0in April<\/span><\/a>\u00a0by the MEK and is expanding every day. During the whole month of April, these activities were carried out in over 250 areas in 27 provinces. In May, this\u00a0<\/span>exceeded in over 310 places<\/span><\/a>\u00a0in all Iran provinces.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
