NCRI –\u00a0An Iranian regime\u2019s political analyst acknowledges that Iranian protesters are disappointed in the country\u2019s so-called moderates and disgusted by regime\u2019s president Hassan Rouhani.<\/p>\n
In response to Ali Shamkhani, secretary of regime\u2019s Supreme National Security Council, claiming that the country\u2019s ongoing protests are ignited by foreigners, regime\u2019s political expert Sadegh Zibakalam has written a letter, writing \u201cI was surprised by your comments, attributing protests to Saudis. I was not aware that Saudi Arabia is so powerful that it can take thousands of Iranian youth in the country\u2019s small and big cities to the streets. I was however more sorry than surprised by your comments.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201c(According to regime) all protest rallies over the past 40 years has been initiated by foreigners!\u201d says Zibakalam.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is not the first time our authorities attribute popular protests to enemies\u2019 conspiracies, and it won\u2019t be the last. I don\u2019t remember any other kind of reaction by our officials over the past 40 years.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThe 2009 protests were attributed to British Embassy, Americans, and George Soros. Likewise, today\u2019s protests are attributed to Daesh and Saudi Arabia. Of course, Israel, monarchists, Bahai\u2019s and enemies\u2019 infiltrates are also responsible. Everyone in the world, but the Iranian people and regime\u2019s political, economic, and social performance are involved.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt would be much better if instead of accusing foreigners and the Goblin Kingdom and resorting to conspiracy theories and fictitious ideas you could get off your high horse and go to people who are fed up with your policies, asking them about their concerns, the reason for their rebellion and the purpose of their protest. In that case, it wouldn\u2019t be necessary to put the blame on the United States, Israel, Britain, Zionists, George Soros, Saudi Arabia, Daesh, and PMOI.\u201d<\/p>\n
At the end of his letter, Zibakalam writes \u201cif instead of intimidating and show of force you were willing to listen to what the protesters have to say, you would have noticed that most of them are born during the 90s and for years have been unemployed. They\u2019ve had no bright past and have no hope for the future, either. They\u2019re twenty-somethings that despite getting graduated years ago are still living by their parents. They\u2019re frustrated with hardliners and their Shariatmadari, disappointed in moderates and their so-called liberalism, and disgusted by Rouhani and his empty promises. Their sense of justice is at least much more than mine and yours, since they disgust and distrust all of us the same.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
