These protests came after over two weeks of protests in <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/english.mojahedin.org\/i\/iran-tehran-protests-20210801\" rel=\"noopener\">Khuzestan<\/a> province due to water shortages. A few days after protests in Tabriz due to the skyrocketing prices and the power outages in Tehran\u2019s Mobile Market. <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span data-contrast=\"auto\">In other words, any social or economic problem could spark protests in Iran\u2019s restive society. Iran\u2019s explosive society and people are frustrated with 42 years of oppression and corruption. The regime is no longer to control this restive society by taking oppressive measures. The regime\u2019s inhumane Covid-19 policy, such as inaction in the face of the amplifying crisis and lack of vaccination, has also failed.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cTehran was closed for a week. Their protest shows the taboo of oppression has shattered, and the regime cannot intimidate the public.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cWhy protests erupted in Tehran last night? What motivation has encouraged the youth to chant radical slogans? Where did it come from?\u201d wrote the state-run\u00a0Ensaf\u00a0News on Saturday.\u00a0Ensaf\u00a0News on July 23, days after protests in Khuzestan, warned that \u201cThis winter will witness the biggest chaos of the country and protests are inevitable.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The regime\u2019s parliament has recently passed the<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/iran-protests\/iran-internet-censorship-plan-and-regimes-deadlock\/\" rel=\"noopener\"> internet censorship<\/a> plan. This plan could trigger more protests, terrifying the regime\u2019s insiders. Some of the regime officials warn that the regime would start a new round of protests by implementing this plan. The combination of these challenges causes us not to be optimistic about the near future.
