In another development, farmers gathered in front of the Benroud County for the release of the arrested people and locked up its doors.<\/p>\n On Saturday, a large crowd of people in Isfahan gathered in support of farmers in the eastern cities of the province in front of the water organization in Isfahan. Farmers’ protests continued on the streets of the city and on the Khaju and Bozorgmehr bridges. They chanted: “No nation has even seen this much injustice; Death to government officials; Zayandehroud water is our right; Liar officials, where is our Zayandehroud? Special unit be ashahmed, leave Vaezaneh” Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, saluted the arisen people of Isfahan, particularly the deprived and toiling farmers in eastern Isfahan Province. She said the drying of Zayandeh Rood which has jeopardized the lives and incomes of hundreds of thousands of people in the region, is part of the environmental disaster and a consequence of the clerical regime\u2019s policies and conducts over the past four decades. All the country\u2019s assets and resources have either been plundered by the regime\u2019s leaders including Khamenei\u2019s headquarters and the Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) or consumed on domestic suppression, warmongering, terrorism and unpatriotic nuclear projects. <\/em><\/strong>Sunday Morning, March 11, farmers in Varzaneh of Isfahan province who have been protesting to get their water share and against their dire living conditions over the past three weeks, gathered on the Khaju Bridge in Isfahan. They chanted: “Today is the day of mourning, the farmers\u2019 lives are at risk; the farmer dies, never surrenders to humiliation; Oh Hojjat Ibn al-Hassan (Oh the savior), uproot the root of oppression; Rouhani is a great liar; if you do not give the (farmers\u2019) water share, we will give our lives for it.\u201d<\/p>\n
On Saturday night, Varzaneh farmers blocked the entrance to the city with tractors and agricultural machinery. The repressive forces burned a number of farmers\u2019 tractors that are their only assets.<\/p>\n
