This is about 3% of the total waste of agricultural production and food waste in the world.<\/p>\n<p>Lotfian added: &#8220;Currently, an average of 100 million tons of agricultural products are produced annually in Iran, of which about 16 and a half million tons are removed from the consumption cycle as waste.&#8221; This amount of waste is equivalent to the product produced at the level of one million hectares, i.e. 12% of the area under cultivation of the country&#8217;s irrigated products.
