Argentina condemned on Wednesday the endorsement by the Iranian regime’s parliament that granted the post of Interior Ministery to Ahmad Vahidi and the Vice Presidency of Economic Affairs to Mohsen Rezai. Both officials have long been wanted by the judiciary of the South American nation and by Interpol for being accused of participating in the 1994 attack on the AMIA Jewish Association.<\/p>\n

“Argentina expresses its strongest condemnation of the approval of Ahmad Vahidi and the appointment of Mohsen Rezai to ministerial posts in Iran,” the Argentinian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.<\/p>\n

Citing images shared on the internet, several media outlets have reported that the Ethiopian National Defence Force is using Iranian-made Mohajer-6 combat unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) as it fights a civil war.\u00a0Who took the photos remains unknown. However, they show the Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed visiting an airport with what appears to be the drone in the background. The fact-checking website Bellingcat and some open-source researchers independently geo-located the images, indicating that they were taken at the government-controlled Semara Airport.<\/p>\n
