The Iranian regime\u2019s parliament approved all but one of Ebrahim Raisi\u2019s proposed ministers. It was expected that the parliament will act as a rubber-stamp for Raisi and, by extension, for his master, the regime\u2019s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who has handpicked both the parliament and Raisi\u2019s ministers.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Several of the appointees are prominent members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps<\/a>, the\u00a0regime\u2019s terrorist entity\u00a0that is responsible for much of the regime\u2019s crackdown on domestic dissent, as well as its support for terrorist proxies throughout the region and the world. The prospective Interior Minister, Ahmad\u00a0Vahidi<\/a>, is even subject to an Interpol arrest warrant stemming from his involvement in the 1994 bombing\u00a0in\u00a0Argentine.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

While having a figure like Vahidi as the Interior Minister means explicit support of terrorism, it should be recalled that terrorism is an inseparable part of the regime.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

While the regime\u2019s apologists tried to present the previous government as\u00a0moderates,\u00a0that dialogue ultimately served to mask the\u00a0regime\u2019s malign activities\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The regime\u2019s previous president, Hassan\u00a0Rouhani himself\u00a0confirmed that the regime\u2019s terrorism and diplomacy go hand in hand. In a\u00a0meeting last April,\u00a0he\u00a0praised the collaboration between the regime\u2019s diplomatic and military personnel. \u201cThe frontline and diplomacy are two arms\u201d of the same strategy, he said after boasting of his own contribution to both sides of this duality. \u201cI am speaking as someone who has been in the Supreme National Security Council for 32 years,\u201d he said.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
