Protests and Anti-Government Activities in Tehran and Other Iranian Cities on the Occasion of Workers Day<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to reports by the network of the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK) inside of the country, various Iranian cities were the scenes of protests and anti-regime acts on the occasion of the International Workers\u2019 Day.<\/p>\n

Tehran<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Tuesday, May 1st, thousands of workers, retirees, and other deprived strata of the society took part in an anti-government gathering in front of the Majlis (parliament) in protest to their deplorable living conditions. They chanted: \u201cArrested workers should be freed,\u201d \u201cBread, housing, freedom, are our inalienable rights,\u201d \u201cAstronomical wages (for senior officials), public misery\u201d, \u201cWorker, teacher, student, solidarity, solidarity.\u201d Placards carried by the workers read: \u201cOur dinner table is still empty\u201d. One of the workers carried a large placard which read: \u201cHey, You, billionaire minister, I haven\u2019t been able to buy meat for the past 40 months\u201d.<\/p>\n

The security forces attacked this protest rally and arrested a number of protesters. The identity of seven of those arrested has been ascertained so far.
At the same time a large crowd marched towards the regime\u2019s \u201cWorker\u2019s House\u201d and protested in front of it. They were chanting: \u201cDeath to oppressor, hail to the workers\u201d \u201cIncompetent minister, resign, resign\u201d \u201cWe don\u2019t want an incompetent minister.\u201d<\/p>\n

Saqqez (Kurdistan)<\/strong><\/p>\n

The gathering of workers on International Workers\u2019 Day was held in Chami Vali Khan Square. It was attacked by the repressive forces. A number of participants were arrested and one of the workers was injured.<\/p>\n

Karaj<\/strong><\/p>\n

A number of workers of Alborz Expansion Institution held an anti-government gathering in front of \u201cPeople\u2019s House\u201d. The repressive forces attacked them and used tear gas. A number of protesters were arrested.<\/p>\n

Isfahan<\/strong><\/p>\n

The regime mobilized the repressive forces to prevent the gathering and protest by the farmers.<\/p>\n

Retired workers of Isfahan Steel factory gathered in front of the pension office of the steel factory and protested against their welfare and the regime ignoring the workers\u2019 problems and plight.<\/p>\n

RASHT: Protest gathering of looted creditors of “Caspian financial institute”<\/strong><\/p>\n

Today, the looted creditors of the state affiliated financial institute, gathered in front of its branch and asked for recapturing of their deposits and while chanting: \u201cDamn Rouhani ” threw eggs toward the entrance door of the branch. They are chanting: You despicable thieves, give our money back.<\/p>\n

TEHRAN:\u00a0Three protesters in labour day gathering were arrested in front of the regime’s parliament<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to reports recieved by ‘the Iranian Free Union of Workers’,\u00a0 security forces have arrested number of workers and pensioners who are staging protest gathering in front of the regime’s parliament, the protesting workers are chanting: Detained workers must be freed, they are holding an affiche written on it: Social security is our defenitive right.<\/p>\n
