Wednesday Protests in Iran<\/h3>\n

Civil rights activists in Sanandaj, Western Iran, held a rally in front of the city court to protest violence against women. Protesters held banners, reading “enough is enough”, “no to murder”, “we are all Faezeh”, “we want transparency in Faezeh’s murder case” and “nowhere is safe for women anymore”.<\/p>\n

A few days ago, Faezeh Malekinia, a 22-year-old girl, was burned by her father under the pretext of what is called ‘honor murder’. This incident awakened a lot of disgust and anger among citizens and civil rights activists. The state police has failed to interrogate Faezeh’s father, and buried her body without a medical autopsy.”<\/p>\n
