Poland and Germany Call on Iranian Regime to Reverse Course<\/h3>\n

At the UNGA Conference on Disarmament, representatives from Poland and Germany expressed their concerns about the Iranian regime’s violation of international treaties and nuclear advancements.<\/p>\n

Marcin Czepelak, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Poland said: “We note with concern steps taken by Iran violating its obligations under the JCPOA, highlighted by the IAEA reports. Exceeding uranium enrichment and stocks significantly above JCPOA limits and producing uranium metal make it impossible to be assured about the exclusively peaceful nature of Iranian nuclear program.”<\/p>\n

Mrs. Katharina Stasch, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Federal Republic of Germany to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva said: “We remain deeply concerned by the overall trajectory of the Iranian nuclear program marked by systematic JCPOA violations, activities lacking plausible civilian justifications, reduced transparency, and insufficient cooperation with the IAEA. We urge Iran to reverse course and to return to full compliance with its political commitments and legal obligations in the nuclear field.”<\/p>\n

2 Iranian Inmates Killed Upon Drinking Sanitizer, Provided by the Iranian Regime Embassy in Sri Lanka<\/h3>\n

According to Deutsche Welle, two Iranian nationals held in a Sri Lankan high-security prison were killed after drinking disinfectant fluid sent to them by the Iranian embassy.<\/p>\n

“Two Iranians died and 10 others were taken to hospital after drinking the same sanitizer,” said Chandana Akanaya,” said Chandana Ekanayake, prisons spokesman for Colombo Remand Prison on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

He added: “This sanitizer was provided to the prisoners by the Iranian embassy to prevent them from contracting the coronavirus.” These prisoners were imprisoned on charges of heroin trafficking in this country.<\/p>\n

This bill would empower the Department of the Treasury to take steps against those complicit in mining and moving these resources.<\/p>\n
