“The Iranian nuclear program has made unprecedented progress and the United Kingdom is very concerned about it,” British Foreign Secretary Liz Terrace told Asharq al Awsat today.<\/p>\n

The British Foreign Secretary who had met with Saudi and Qatari officials, added: “We do not want to see Iran acquire nuclear weapons. Iran’s delay in returning to nuclear talks reduces the opportunity for a diplomatic solution. The current offer will not last forever, and Iran must seize the opportunity to resume talks immediately.”<\/p>\n

A Prisoner Was Executed Today in Southeast Iran<\/h3>\n

Iranian regime’s Judiciary executed a prisoner in Zahedan Prison on Thursday, October 21. The prisoner’s name, who was serving his time in prison on drug-related charges was identified as Nazar Naz Ghanbarzehi from Cheshmeh Ziarat village of Zahedan.<\/p>\n

In the Last 15 Years, $170B of Investment Has Left Iran<\/h3>\n

In a shocking report, citing statistics from the Central Bank, a state-run newspaper stated that about $170 billion of investment has left Iran between 2005 and 2020.<\/p>\n

The state-run Farhikhtegan newspaper wrote:\u00a0“In recent years, we witnessed a surge in capital outflows for investments in housing in Turkey, Georgia and the United Arab Emirates. Unfortunately, the flow of capital out of Iran has become very worrying. Particularly in the last decade, this took place under the pretext of various goals and objectives. But this has been due to weak investment indicators and lack of facilitation of trade as well as distrust in the macroeconomic environment.”<\/p>\n

Iranian Regime is Losing Oil Market to Neighboring Countries<\/h3>\n

State-run Tejarat News reported: “While Iran and China have a 25-year cooperation agreement and some forecasts indicated an increase in Iranian oil sales to China, the Tehran Chamber of Commerce data show that in the first eight months of 2021, Iran’s oil sales to China dropped by more than $11 billion, compared to three years ago. At the same time, Saudi Arabia’s oil sales to China grew significantly.”<\/p>\n

“Oman, Iraq, Kuwait, and the UAE are the other four countries whose oil sales to China have also increased during this period to compensate for China’s drop in oil supply from Iran,” the website added.<\/p>\n

Azerbaijan Banned Iranian Trucks from Entering Nagorno-Karabakh Region<\/h3>\n

Azerbaijan announced that Iranian trucks are not allowed to enter the Nagorno-Karabakh region, otherwise they will face the consequences of violating the law and disrespecting the territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan.<\/p>\n

The British paper Independent wrote: “The Azerbaijani Highways and Road Transport Organization issued a statement on Wednesday, banning Iranian drivers and citizens from entering the Nagorno-Karabakh and Lachin regions. According to the statement, the entry of foreign nationals into Azerbaijan, outside the official border crossings, is considered a violation of the border of the Republic of Azerbaijan and violators will be held accountable.”<\/p>\n

Last month Azerbaijan detained two Iranian drivers for entering the country illegally which led to an escalation of tensions between Tehran and Baku.<\/p>\n

Fragile measures to monitor Iran\u2019s nuclear activity that were established by the U.N.\u2019s atomic energy watchdog are becoming undone, its director-general has warned.<\/p>\n

\u201cStop-gap\u201d measures agreed to in February to prevent the total disintegration of a monitoring deal between Tehran and the International Atomic Energy Agency are no longer \u201cintact,\u201d IAEA chief Rafael Grossi said in an interview with the Financial Times published Tuesday. Specifically, Iran is no longer allowing surveillance cameras to record at its Tesa Karaj facility west of Tehran, which manufactures centrifuge parts.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran<\/a>\u00a0(PMOI\/MEK<\/a>) announced on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, that the Coronavirus death toll in 547 cities had exceeded 460,800. In Tehran, the death toll has reached 107,906, Isfahan 31,280, Khuzestan 28,255, Mazandaran 16,990, West Azerbaijan 16,908, Fars 16,755, East Azerbaijan 16,068, Gilan 16,085, Alborz 13,583, Golestan 10,200, Kermanshah 8,409, Kurdistan 7,387, Ardabil 5,770, Qazvin 5,224, and Zanjan 4,390.<\/p>\n
