Tehran\u2019s commitment to extremism and terrorist sponsorship was recorded in the minutes of meetings and debates that were held, for example, between Abbas Madani, the leader of the Islamic Salvation Front in Algeria, and [supreme leader Ali] Khamenei and Rafsanjani, during his visit to Tehran in 1991.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Algeria rightly cut off diplomatic ties to Iran, but unfortunately these were restored just nine years later and the mullahs are once again sponsoring terrorism in Algeria.<\/p>\n<p>But there is hope for Iran and that is the Iranian people and their organised resistance.<\/p>\n<p>The Iranian people are currently protesting out in the streets, despite the very real risk of being arrested or killed by the Regime\u2019s agents. They believe that freedom is more important than their lives.<\/p>\n<p>This is not a new feeling among the Iranian people. Some 120,000 members of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/pmoi-mek\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">People&#8217;s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK)<\/a> have already been killed by the Regime for their political activism, including 30,000 who were slaughtered in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/human-rights\/20932-the-1988-massacre-in-iran\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">1988 massacre<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Ghozali wrote: \u201cThe victims sacrificed themselves for freedom and democracy, and this legacy has lately begun to bear fruit in the Iranian street.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Despite years of brutality, propaganda, and oppression, the Regime has not quelled the Iranian people\u2019s desire for regime change. The Iranian Resistance will win this fight for freedom and the mullahs will be overthrown. There can be no doubt about this.<\/p>\n<p>Ghozali wrote: \u201cAfter dealing with the Iranian situation for half a century, I have the sense that the long odyssey of the Iranian people is nearing its end and that they will attain freedom by standing up to the current dictatorship as they did to the Shah\u2019s regime, this time facilitating democratic change at the hands of the Iranian people and the resistance.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On June 30, the Iranian Resistance will hold its<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/iran-resistance\/24749-on-june-30-the-world-will-see-an-alternative-iran\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> annual free Iran gathering in Paris<\/a>, where over 100,000 people will join together to call for regime change.
