\u201cI was one of those who shot people. We killed them! Who is going to put us on trial?\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

These were blatant remarks by Hassan Norouzi, an Iranian member of parliament on November 13, about the massacre of innocent protesters in November 2019.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

During an interview with the state-run\u00a0Dideba<\/span>n\u00a0website, Norouzi, deputy chairman of the Judiciary and Legal Commission of parliament,\u00a0was slamming the International People\u2019s Tribunal in London, called the \u201c<\/span>Iran Atrocities Tribunal<\/span><\/a>\u201d. The tribunal was held to investigate \u201ccrimes against humanity\u201d committed by the Iranian regime during the major Iran protests in November 2019.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The November 2019 uprising rattled the regime\u2019s foundations. During\u00a0which\u00a0over 1500 protesters were\u00a0brutally\u00a0gunned down. Reuters later reported that Ali Khamenei, the regime\u2019s supreme leader, had\u202f<\/span>told<\/span><\/a>\u202fhis military commanders: \u201cDo\u00a0whatever it takes to end it. You have my order!\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
