\u2022 Strike of Truck Drivers in Iran Day 19<\/strong><\/p>\n

Iran truck drivers\u2019 day 19 strike tells the regime there\u2019s no stopping them. They managed to keep their strong strike going in May. This time they\u2019re holding on till they have a total change. These drivers just like the brave protesters are up in different cities. Today on day 19 truck drivers from Kermanshah and Hamadan sent their video. There are mass waiting lines of cars outside the petrol stations.<\/p>\n

The second round of the truckers\u2019 strikes began July 23. This was the start of the hottest Persian month but nevertheless, it happened.<\/p>\n

A message left on Telegram said the drivers can wash this regime away if they stand unite. Our strike is going to increase pressure on the system.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Political Prisoner Warns in Open Letter: Iranian Authorities Kill Opponents Abroad<\/strong><\/p>\n

Arash Sadeghi, a human rights advocate imprisoned in Karaj\u2019s notorious Rajaei Shahr Prison, has written an open letter following the assassination of Eqbal Moradi, a political activist in Iraqi Kurdistan and the father of political prisoner Zanyar Moradi. Mr Sadeghi points out the history of the Islamic Republic\u2019s assassination campaigns inside and outside the country, ongoing since February 1979.<\/p>\n

The dead body of Eqbal Moradi was found in Penjwen, a district of Iraqi Kurdistan which shares a border with Iran. He had been reportedly killed with three bullets. It wasn\u2019t the first time that an attempt was made on his life.nchers used to attack Jizan.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Iraq froze bank operations with Iran following US sanctions<\/strong><\/p>\n

The authorities of Iraq have suspended bank transactions with the financial institutions of Iran following the US sanctions imposed against Teheran, reports the Iranian Telegraph Agency.<\/p>\n

According to Al-Mada, the US Finance Ministry sent a letter to the Central Bank of Iraq obliging the banks “to cease all the operations with the banks of Iran” threatening “to freeze their assets and put them on the black list\u201d.<\/p>\n

According to Mazhar Muhammed, advisor of Prime Minister of Iraq, besides the banking sector, anti-Iranian restrictions concerned the energy sector.<\/p>\n

“The Government of Iraq is seeking alternative energy sources on the background of economic sanctions imposed by the US,” the message reports.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Arab Coalition Strikes Houthis Responsible for Jizan Ballistic Attack<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Saudi-led Arab coalition announced on Thursday that it had struck in Yemen\u2019s Saada the Iran-backed Houthi militants responsible for Wednesday\u2019s ballistic missile attack against Saudi\u2019s Jizan region, reported the Saudi Press Agency.<\/p>\n

Coalition spokesman Colonel Turki al-Maliki said: \u201cToday’s attack in Saada was a legitimate military operation … and was carried out in accordance with international humanitarian law.\u201d<\/p>\n
