\u2022 Human Rights Watch demands that Iran investigate killing of 30 protestors<\/strong><\/p>\n

Human Rights Watch has called on Iran to open impartial investigations into the killing of 30 protesters since January.<\/p>\n

The human rights organization said in a statement published on Saturday that the Iranian authorities did not show any sign of conducting impartial investigations, either into those deaths, or into law enforcement officials\u2019 use of excessive force to repress protests.<\/p>\n

It called the Iranian regime to drop all charges brought against protesters for peaceful assembly and release those detained on that basis.<\/p>\n

Since August 2, 2018, authorities have detained more than 50 people during protests in Tehran.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Satellite images show Iranian missile bases in Syria<\/strong><\/p>\n

Satellite images have revealed that Iran is building new missile bases in Syria, most notably in Wadi Jahannam in Banyas west of Syria.<\/p>\n

The images taken by Image Sat International were released in a detailed report, show that a facility in Wadi Jahannam, designed to manufacture and assemble different types of missiles similar to the two military bases of Parchin and Khujir inside Iran.<\/p>\n

The report noted that it is likely that the same Iranian elements are behind the planning and construction of this facility which is at the final stages. The company estimates that this construction will be completed in the first months of 2019.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Japanese Oil Wholesalers \u2018Prepare To Suspend\u2019 Iranian Imports<\/strong><\/p>\n

Japanese news media are reporting that the country\u2019s major oil wholesalers are preparing to suspend Iranian crude imports next month.<\/p>\n

Jiji Press agency and Kyodo on September 3 reported that the action comes in response to U.S. sanctions against Tehran and threats they could be extended to companies doing business with Iran.<\/p>\n

U.S. President Donald Trump pulled in May pulled out of the 2015 nuclear deal with Iran and almost immediately began reimposing sanctions against Tehran.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Official Media For The First Time Confess To Sex Slavery In Iran<\/strong><\/p>\n

The state-run media in Iran have for the first time revealed sexual abuse of women and use of sex slavery in Iran and the Iranian tourism industry.<\/p>\n

These media reports have tried to portray the business as illegal and play down the role and involvement of the clerical regime\u2019s officials.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Iranian Journalists Sentenced To Imprisonment, Flogging<\/strong><\/p>\n

Reporters Without Borders (RSF) condemns the Iranian regime\u2019s latest steps to reinforce online censorship, in which two journalists who use social networks have just received harsh sentences \u2013 a long jail term in one case and flogging in the other.<\/p>\n

The victims include Amir Hossein Miresmaili, a journalist with the daily newspaper Jahan Sanat (Industry World). He was sentenced to ten years in prison on 22 August for a tweet indirectly criticizing Ayatollah Sayyid Ahmad Alamolhoda, a fundamentalist mullah who is Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei\u2019s representative in the city of Mashhad.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
