\u2022 Afghanistan bans imports of 4 types of Iranian products<\/strong><\/p>\n

Afghanistan Customs Department has banned the imports of four types of Iranian products, Eghtesadonline reported on Sunday.<\/p>\n

The banned items include oil products, cement, steel products, tiles and ceramics from Iran as of Sept. 16.<\/p>\n

Ali Shariati, a member of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture, said that the ban is said to be aligned with the sanctions reimposed by the United States on Iran.<\/p>\n

\u2022 US denies secret meeting with Iran<\/strong><\/p>\n

The US embassy in Iraq has denied reports that a US presidential envoy and a top Iranian military commander had met secretly in Iraq.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Embassy is aware of false media reports that Special Presidential Envoy Brett McGurk and an Iranian General met to discuss forming a new Iraqi government. The reports are fake news. No such meeting ever happened,\u201d Charles Cole, the US embassy spokesman, posted on the diplomatic mission\u2019s Twitter account.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Horrific video shows man hung by crane in Iran as public execution<\/strong><\/p>\n

Iranian social media accounts have shared a video showing a brutal execution of a young man being hanged while lifted with a crane before the eyes of the public.<\/p>\n

Human rights activists who shared footage of the incident claimed that it took place on Friday in the city of Marvdasht, southern Iran.<\/p>\n

It is reported that the man being executed is 26 years old, and had been imprisoned when he was only 13 years old.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Zahedan Prisoner Hanged on Drug and Weapons Charges<\/strong><\/p>\n

Arafi Reigi, a 32-year-old prisoner of Zahedan\u2019s Ward 5, was hanged to death early this morning, September 15, 2018.<\/p>\n

Reigi had been in prison for six years on charges of drug trafficking and armed clashes, and had always denied the latter charge. According to a confidential source, Reigi was summoned September 12th for a purported transfer to a Ministry of Intelligence detention center. \u201cInstead,\u201d said the source, \u201che was taken to solitary confinement to await execution.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2022 More than 30 Baha\u2019i College Applicants Denied Enrollment for their Religious Affiliation<\/strong><\/p>\n

The number of Iranian Baha\u2019is being denied college-enrollment eligibility despite successfully passing the national admissions test has reached 34, according to Human Rights sources.<\/p>\n
