Former Iranian Regime’s Negotiator Warns Against Vienna Talks<\/h3>\n

In a 200-page long report to the Iranian regime’s Supreme Leader Khamenei, Saeed Jalili, the former nuclear negotiator expressed his concerns about the current negotiation process and warned that it will hurt the regime.<\/p>\n

The state-run newspaper Eghtesad News wrote<\/a> on Sunday, January 30: “Saeed Jalili has written a 200-page long report against the new round of talks and considers the process of Bagheri Kani’s team to be to Iran’s detriment.\u00a0Jalili argues that in the current situation, negotiations should not take place and only measurable concessions should be taken from the Americans. He sent this letter to Khamenei.”<\/p>\n

Child Malnutrition Has Doubled in Southeast Iran<\/h3>\n

Aref Raisi, a member of the Nikshahr city council, admitted that the number of malnourished children in Sistan and Baluchestan province, Southwest Iran, had increased by 100 percent in recent years.<\/p>\n

“According to the statistics of the Ministry of Health in 2021, between the years 2018 to 2019, the number of malnourished children in Sistan and Baluchestan had increased from 6% to 12%,” the state-run ILNA news agency quoted the regime official as saying on Sunday. “One of the most important reasons for malnutrition is the lack of animal protein, which is due to the poverty of the people in this province.”<\/p>\n

Another Execution Reported in Iran<\/h3>\n

The Iranian regime’s Judiciary has executed a prisoner in Lakan prison in Rasht, northern Iran, on Saturday morning, January 30. The prisoner has been identified as Hossein Kaveh, about 50 years, who has been in prison for 9 years.<\/p>\n

Political Prisoner in Danger<\/h3>\n

\"Ebrahim-Khalil-Sedighi-Hamedani\"<\/p>\n

Political prisoner Ebrahim Sedighi Hamedani has conducted an informed refusal for six days, protesting mistreatment against him and his son in Marivan Prison. Mr. Hamedani has refused to take his insulin medication.<\/p>\n

Ebrahim Sediqhi Hamedani and his son, Salar were arrested by the Ministry of Intelligence in Urmia on February 23, 2019, and sentenced to 19 years in prison for “supporting the Mojahedin-e-Khalq Organization” and “propaganda against the regime.”<\/p>\n

On January 10, the NCRI called on the United Nations and other international organizations to take immediate action to save the lives of these two political prisoners, especially Ebrahim Siddiq Hamedani, whose health is in danger.<\/p>\n

Teachers Protest Today in Iran<\/h3>\n

For the third consecutive day, educators and teachers gathered in different cities, to protest against their living conditions, low salaries, and the officials’ refusal to respond to their demands. So far incoming reports indicate rallies in various cities like Isfahan, Yazd, Tabriz, Hamedan, Lordegan, Ilam, Tehran, Shiraz, Eghlid, Nowshahr, Alborz, and Khorramshahr.<\/p>\n
