The 1979 revolution in Iran was one of the most magnificent popular movements in the history of liberation movements that ended the dictatorship of the Pahlavi monarchs. With the overthrow of the Shah\u2019s regime, the people of Iran, especially the Iranian women, sought to enjoy their\u00a0<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/women.ncr-iran.org\/2019\/12\/10\/on-the-human-rights-day-who-is-hearing-the-cries-of-irans-youth\/\" rel=\"noopener\">human rights<\/a>\u00a0and freedoms to establish a new society.
