\"NCRI-50\"Disclosure of 16 Documents of the Clerical Regime\u2019s Radio and Television<\/h3>\n

IRGC, Basij leaders, and other repressive state agencies directives to the state television on what and how to broadcast reports to propagate repression, terrorism, export of extremism, and warmongering.<\/p>\n

The collection of documents obtained from inside the Iranian state-controlled media corporation (IRIB) shows that not only the main operators of the organization are entirely affiliated with the IRGC and Khamenei’s offices, but also the leaders of Khamenei\u2019s repressive agencies often communicate their instructions directly by sending video clips to be broadcast. For that reason, the Iranian people refer to the state propaganda machine by chanting, “Shame on the state radio and television.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Security and Counterterrorism Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) is publishing parts of such documents that are related to the period between November 2-27, 2022.<\/p>\n

Document No. 1<\/strong>
\nLetter from Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force, to Peyman Jebelli, Head of the IRIB, asking for promotion of the 10th anniversary of the death of Hassan Tehrani Moghaddam, the former commander of the IRGC missile program<\/p>\n

November 2, 2022<\/p>\n

Hajizadeh writes:<\/p>\n

“On November 6 – 12, which coincides with the 10th anniversary of the martyrdom of \u2026 Haj Hassan Tehrani Moghaddam and has been recognized as the ‘Aerospace Force Week,’ in addition to holding a memorial, we need content related broadcasts about the honorable martyr and other Aerospace Force martyrs.<\/em><\/p>\n

It is appropriate to order the necessary collaborations of different IRIB networks to hold a more glorious memorial service for these dear martyrs. It should be noted that a table of productions related to this directive is attached to coordinate the broadcast order in networks with higher viewership. Hajizadeh also states his readiness to provide the desired content for the production of various television programs.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\nLetter from Colonel Mohammad Yousefian, deputy public relations officer of the “Basij Organization of the Oppressed” (The repressive paramilitary Basij force), to Hamid Shahabadi, deputy director of IRIB, giving instructions to promote the Basij week.<\/p>\n

The letter reads:<\/p>\n

“With due respect, excerpts from the speeches of (Khomeini and Khamenei) in describing the Basij for use as subtitles and broadcast on various TV channels during the “glorious Basij Week” are recorded on the attached CD.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\nLetter from Mostafa Zibaeinejad, Deputy Coordinator of the “Culture and Arts Deputy of the Basij Organization\u201d to Shahabadi, asking him to promote the \u201cBasij week.”<\/p>\n

\nNovember 14, 2022<\/p>\n

The letter reads: \u201cGiven the upcoming \u2018Basij week,\u2019 and the importance of celebrating this week, a series of videos produced by the \u201cBasij Culture and Arts\u201d Creations Center, are sent to you.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Document No. 4<\/strong>
\nColonel Majid Joshaghani’s letter from the \u201cFoundation for the Preservation of Relics and Publications of Sacred Defense,\u201d affiliated to the General Staff of the Armed Forces To Shahabadi, asking for the promoting the anti-patriotic war with Iraq.<\/p>\n

\nNovember 13, 2022<\/p>\n

The letter reads: \u201cIt is necessary to enlighten the public, and especially inform the youth about the operations, events, epics and sacrifices of the Muslim warriors during the eight years of the holy defense, particularly the guidance and effective role of the Supreme Leader (Khamenei), who was the representative of Imam Khomeini, at the time.”<\/em><\/p>\n

Document No. 5<\/strong>
\nColonel Majid Joshaghani’s letter to Shahabadi asking for promotion of the mmemoration of the anniversary of operation, \u2018path to Quds,\u201d a major operation during the unpatriotic Iran-Iraq war.<\/p>\n

The letter reads: “To commemorate the anniversary of this great and enduring operation and to remind the honorable people of Iran, please order the attached video clip to be broadcast on the IRIB national networks on Sundays and Mondays (November 28 and 29).\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
