{"id":258914,"date":"2022-05-13T15:48:15","date_gmt":"2022-05-13T13:48:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/?p=258914"},"modified":"2023-02-05T02:33:17","modified_gmt":"2023-02-05T01:33:17","slug":"exposing-hitherto-undisclosed-information-on-the-iranian-regimes-judiciary","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/ncri-statements\/statement-iran-resistance\/exposing-hitherto-undisclosed-information-on-the-iranian-regimes-judiciary\/","title":{"rendered":"Exposing Hitherto Undisclosed Information on the Iranian Regime\u2019s Judiciary"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 style=\"text-align: justify\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"iran-prisons\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-258915\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/iran-prisons.jpg\" alt=\"iran-prisons\" width=\"1000\" height=\"696\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/iran-prisons.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/iran-prisons-300x209.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/iran-prisons-768x535.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/iran-prisons-150x104.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/iran-prisons-696x485.jpg 696w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"NCRI-50\" class=\"size-full wp-image-218888 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/NCRI-50.jpg\" alt=\"NCRI logo\" width=\"75\" height=\"69\" \/>The Names of More Than 33,000 and Pictures of 22,000 Staff and Personnel of the Prisons Organization, Including Prison Wardens, Interrogators, Intelligence Agents, and Executioners Revealed<\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong><em>The Prisons Organization is one of the most notorious criminal agencies of the religious dictatorship ruling Iran and is directly involved in suppression, torture, and executions.<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;text-align: justify\">The 68<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0United Nations General Assembly resolution censuring human rights abuses in Iran, adopted on December 16, 2021, expressed serious concern<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\u201cat the alarmingly high frequency of the imposition and carrying-out of the death penalty,&#8221; &#8220;widespread and systematic use of arbitrary arrests and detentions,&#8221; &#8220;deliberately denying prisoners access to adequate medical treatment and supplies,&#8221; and &#8220;appalling acts committed by prison guards at Evin prison,\u201d &#8220;harassment, intimidation, and persecution, including abductions, arrests, and executions, of political opponents, human rights defenders,&#8221; and \u201carbitrary arrest and detention, and torture and other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment against peaceful protesters,&#8221; and &#8220;the use of torture to extract confessions, and cases of suspicious deaths in custody.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;text-align: justify\">Subsequently, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/english.mojahedin.org\/en\/massoudrajavi\" rel=\"noopener\">Mr. Massoud Rajavi<\/a>, Chairman of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), instructed the Security and Counterterrorism Committee of the Council to compile information and documents about the regime\u2019s judiciary, particularly the facts about what goes on and has been going on in regime\u2019s prisons so that they could be brought to the attention of the public, the UN, and other human rights organizations, so as to inform the world about the situation inside Iran.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;text-align: justify\">The first part of a series of documents compiled includes 33,000 names and 22,000 pictures of prison staff and personnel in prisons throughout Iran.\u00a0 Several pictures have been deliberately hidden by the Judiciary and replaced with the signature of those officials.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;text-align: justify\">Regarding the situation of prisons, Mrs. <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.maryam-rajavi.com\/en\/biography\" rel=\"noopener\">Maryam Rajavi<\/a>, the President-elect of the NCRI, said on August 24, 2021: &#8220;Under the Iranian regime, prisons have no meaning other than torture chambers and dungeons.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;text-align: justify\">The attached documents prove this truth. Thus, as Mrs. Rajavi has pointed out, &#8220;The dossier on the horrific and systematic human rights violations in Iran, especially its conduct in prisons, must be referred to the UN Security Council. The leaders of the regime must be brought to justice for four decades of crimes against humanity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;text-align: justify\"><strong>Secretariat of the <a
