Creditors<\/strong><\/p>\nThose who lost their savings investing is regime-affiliated credit institutions held 34 rallies in eight Iranian cities, which is roughly one per day. They were demanding the return of their savings from:<\/p>\n
\u2022 the Revolutionary Guards-affiliated Caspian Credit Institution in Tehran, Rasht, Mashhad, Kermanshah, Neishapour and Ilam<\/p>\n
\u2022 the Dehkadeyeh Abi Pars Company in Garmdareh<\/p>\n
\u2022 the Sekeye Samen Institution in Tehran<\/p>\n
\u2022 the Meftah Rahnavard Company in Tehran<\/p>\n
\u2022 the Badre Tous Institution in Mashhad<\/p>\n
\u2022 the Shadi Goldsmith in Tehran<\/p>\n
\u2022 Adag Auto in Tehran<\/p>\n
\u2022 the Padideh Institution in Tehran and Mashhad<\/p>\n
\u2022 the Persian Pars Company in Tehran<\/p>\n
Pensioners<\/strong><\/p>\nPensioners held 15 protests across three cities, including Tehran and Shush, which is roughly one protest every two days. They were protesting not receiving their pensions and their poor living conditions.<\/p>\n
Teachers<\/strong><\/p>\nTeachers held 13 protests in 12 cities, including Orumieh, Ardabil, Mashhad, Khoram Abad, Kermanshah, Shiraz, Marivan and Sanandaj, which is an average of one every two days. They were protesting poor living conditions, lack of job security, not being officially hired and non-payment of wages.<\/p>\n
Students<\/strong><\/p>\nStudents held 10 protest rallies in four universities, which is an average of one every three days. Participants included dental students in Hormozgan, Azad University\u2019s Scientific Research Department, and students of the Sharif Industrial University in Tehran.<\/p>\n
Bazaar Merchants<\/strong><\/p>\nBazaar merchants held five rallies in two cities \u2013 Tehran and Kerman \u2013 which is roughly one protest every six days.<\/p>\n
Farmers<\/strong><\/p>\nFarmers also held five demonstrations across four cities to protest the lack of water amongst other things.<\/p>\n
Political prisoners<\/strong><\/p>\nPolitical prisoners staged five acts of protests in three prisons last month and held 10 hunger strikes.<\/p>\n
Rajaie Shahr Prison in Karaj<\/strong><\/p>\n\u2022 Hamzeh Darvish wrote an open letter about his torture and other illicit action by the heads of prison<\/p>\n
\u2022 Payam Shakiba wrote a message on the 40th anniversary of the regime<\/p>\n
Masjed Soleiman Prison in southern Iran<\/p>\n
\u2022 Changiz Qadam Kheiri wrote a letter to the UN Special Rapporteur on Iran about the mental tortures he was subjected to
Central Karaj Prison<\/p>\n
\u2022 Mehdi Farahi Shandiz wrote an open letter about the 40 years of torture and execution by the Iranian regime, including the phrases \u201cdown with dictator\u201d and \u201cdown with [Supreme Leader Ali] Khamenei\u201d<\/p>\n
Unknown Prison<\/strong><\/p>\n\u2022 Anvar Khezri wrote a letter detailing his suffering during his nine years of prison<\/p>\n
Hunger strikes<\/strong><\/p>\nThe 10 hunger strikes included nine individual strikes at various prisons and for various reasons, and one group strike, at Sheiban Prison in Ahvaz, in protest at the torture of political prisoners, including placing them with dangerous criminals.<\/p>\n
Other sectors<\/strong><\/p>\nThere were 65 other protests across 23 cities that did not fit nicely into the above sections. This included:<\/p>\n
\u2022 A protest by the family of detained labour activist Esmail Bakhshi, decrying his arrest and ongoing imprisonment<\/p>\n
\u2022 A gathering by the families of the victims of a Tehran plane crash on the anniversary<\/p>\n
\u2022 A rally by firefighters in Abadan<\/p>\n
\u2022 A protest by victims of the Kermanshah earthquake in Sarpol Zahab over lack of electricity in their camp, where they live in tents over a year after the earthquake<\/p>\n
