The presence of 150,000 inmates in the prisons, which have the capacity of 60,000 people, is unjust,&#8221; the state-run daily Quds reported December 9. <\/p>\n<p>He said, &#8220;The number of female prisoners has increased compared to a few years ago.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The shocking admissions by one of the henchmen of the mullahs&#8217; regime about the deplorable state of prisons come at a time when the real number of prisoners is increasing dramatically. Close to one million people are sent to the country&#8217;s prisons or detention facilities annually, according to some of the regime&#8217;s officials.
