State-Affiliated Economist Reveals Raisi’s Failed Tactics and Warns of Upcoming Uprisings<\/h3>\n

In an interview with the state-run Dideban-e-Iran website<\/a>, Morteza Afghah, a state-affiliated economist highlighted the miserable state of Ebrahim Raisi’s incompetent administration and warned how their failed tactics are leading to social unrest.<\/p>\n

Afghah said during his interview: “Another strange statement of Mr. Raisi and his economic team is the claim of an 8% increase in economic growth this year! Once, when Raisi made wistful promises, we thought it was to collect votes for the elections. But now, we’re asking ourselves why he is continuing to make such promises?!”<\/p>\n

“Mr. Mokhber, the vice president, has neither studied economics nor does he know anything about economics,” Afghah added. “The head of the Budget and Programming Organization and the head of the Central Bank have no background in economics either. Raisi thinks that the executive work is like a court, which solves issues by ordering and prohibiting things.”<\/p>\n

The state-affiliated economist warned: “But unfortunately, since this group knows that they cannot solve the people’s economic problems, they create a series of other problems such as harassing women to develop new mental obsessions for the people so that they forget about economic issues! People have been shouting their demands for a long time! No day passes by without a strike and a rally concerning livelihood issues. Look at the teachers’ union and the retirees! Unfortunately, we lost many of our compatriots in November 2019 (protests), and I believe that due to this year’s record (low) budget, public poverty, and the failure of the JCPOA, we will see much bigger protests than before! If the gentlemen go ahead like this, we will witness a lot of political and social tensions in the society between the people and the government!”<\/p>\n

Tehran Promotes IRGC Hostage Taker<\/h3>\n

While the Iranian regime’s hostage-taking policy has been widely criticized around the world, today, the IRGC promoted a commander who led a hostage-taking operation against US marines six years ago.<\/p>\n

According to the IRGC-run Fars news<\/a> agency, “following the recommendation of the IRGC-commander-in-chief Major General Hossein Salami and the Supreme Leader’s approval, Ali Razmjoo was promoted to Brigadier General.”<\/p>\n

On January 12, 2016, two United States Navy<\/a> riverine command boats were seized by the IRGC near Iran’s Farsi Island in the Persian Gulf. The regime used the incident as propaganda to boost morale among its loyal forces and paraded the marines on state television, claiming the US has been humiliated.<\/p>\n

More Than Hundred Nurses Flee Iran Every Month<\/h3>\n

In an interview published by the state-run ISNA<\/a> news agency today, Mohammad Taghi Jahanpour Deputy of the regime’s Nursing Organization admitted that despite the lack of 100,000 nurses in the country, 100 to 150 nurses migrate from Iran every month.<\/p>\n

“Nurses, both in the public and the private sector, have played a key role in fighting the pandemic as well as the management of hospitals and medical centers,” Jahanpour acknowledged. “However, despite the promises made about recruitment and being officially employed, as soon as the sixth wave of Coronavirus was over, all vows were forgotten and the officials did not fulfill their promises.”<\/p>\n

“For two years, officials kept promising the nurses and since January 2021, the Ministry of Health had pledged to implement nursing tariffs, while nothing has been paid to the nurses so far,” the official added.<\/p>\n

\n

State-run Newspaper Warns of Danger Posed by Unemployed Youth<\/h3>\n

In an article on July 26, the state-run Farhikhtegan<\/a> newspaper cited statistics and figures recently published by the Statistics and Information Center of the regime’s Ministry of Labor and wrote: “The rate of 15 to 24-year-old youth without jobs, education and professional skills reached a frightening number of 70-77% in 2020, and Iran has been ranking first in terms of that metrics on the global stage. African countries such as Niger, Burkina Faso, and Botswana are even trailing Iran.”<\/p>\n

“According to various studies, in addition to losing their future opportunities, these young people are also considered as a burden on the household,” the daily added. “More than other age groups, they are prone to failure, drug addiction, and committing a crime, and therefore, policymakers and planners at the world level pay the most attention to providing the possibility of employment and skill training for this group of population.”<\/p>\n

Fahrikhtegan quoted Amir Khorasani, an urban sociologist and researcher, who referred to the 77% rate announced by the Ministry of Labor and said that this figure is very strange.<\/p>\n

“If this rate is correct, we are not just talking about social damage; rather we must say that this rate causes an earthquake,” Khorasani said. “The high rate of unemployed and unskilled youth is a very important issue and if there is no solution, it may cause dangerous damage to the country’s security.”<\/p>\n

According to Entekhab, the letter came three weeks after Mansoureh Ranjbar participated in a gathering on July 2 to demand unpaid wages.<\/p>\n
