Ejei said that from now on, the First Deputy Judiciary Chief has the same authority and can decide over death and qisas sentences.<\/p>\n<p>These changes, within the last two-and-a-half months, facilitated the conclusion of more than 600 cases of qisas and execution, he said, the state-run <a href=\"https:\/\/www.isna.ir\/news\/98032813278\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ISNA news agency reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Yet Ejei did not say how he concluded the cases &#8211; whether he confirmed all the death and qisas sentence or not.
