The United States will keep increasing pressure on Iran\u2019s regime until it abandons its pursuit of nuclear weapons and ceases its violent activities in the Middle East, White House national security adviser John Bolton said on Monday.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will continue to increase the pressure on the Iranian regime until it abandons its nuclear weapons program and ends its violent activities across the Middle East, including conducting and supporting terrorism around the world,\u201d Bolton said in a speech.<\/p>\n

The Iranian regime on Monday began enriching uranium beyond the 3.67% purity limit set by its 2015 nuclear deal with world powers, according to the United Nations nuclear watchdog.<\/p>\n

The Iranian regime said<\/a> on Sunday it is fully prepared to enrich uranium at any level and with any amount, in violation of the nuclear deal.<\/p>\n

In a news conference broadcast live, senior regime officials said Tehran would keep reducing its commitments every 60 days unless signatories of the pact moved to protect it from U.S. sanctions.<\/p>\n

The Iranian regime’s President Hassan Rouhani declared last week that as of July 7 the regime will increase its enrichment of uranium to any amount it wants and will recommence activities at its heavy water reactor in Arak.<\/p>\n

Commenting on Rouhani\u2019s announcement, the Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) Mohammad Mohaddessin said<\/a>: \u201cThe events of recent days and Rouhani\u2019s announcement today show clearly that the mullahs\u2019 regime never abandoned its nuclear weapons projects and it is trying to find an opportunity to pursue it once again. As the Iranian Resistance has repeatedly stated, the regime must not be allowed to carry out any uranium enrichment and its nuclear projects must be entirely dismantled.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
