\"MEK<\/p>\n

Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani told Fox News Channel\u2019s “Hannity” on Friday that the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI), also known as the Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK), represents the democratic alternative to the mullahs’ regime in Iran.<\/p>\n

“There is an alternative. The MEK is an alternative. The NCRI … is an alternative to the government. And they’re willing to go in there and do the tough work. All they need is our support,” Mayor Giuliani told Sean Hannit<\/a>y on July 19, 2019.<\/p>\n

Earlier in the day, the Iranian regime seized a U.K. flagged vessel, and according to Mayor Giuliani, the United States could respond in a way to make it very difficult for the regime to survive.<\/p>\n

“If we could make it impossible for them to develop nuclear weapons in the next five to 10 years, I\u2019m convinced there\u2019ll be regime change there,” Mayor Giuliani said.<\/p>\n

“I mean, it could happen this year or next year. The other thing that\u2019s underestimated \u2013 and I saw significant video evidence of this, and I have a couple of interviews I want to show you. The protests in Iran are very significant. I saw the video evidence of thousands of people in the street. And it\u2019s gone beyond just political protests. Taxi drivers, all the teachers in Iran, went on strike, and they are carrying posters ‘Down with the ayatollah.’ That\u2019s in risk of their lives. \u2018Down with Rouhani.\u2019 And they\u2019re chanting support for Madam [Maryam] Rajavi and the people in the coalition government. And this is fact. You can see it,” he said.<\/p>\n

“You also see signs [in Iran]. I saw several signs of men selling their kidneys for $500 in order to feed their families,\u201d he continued. \u201cSo, they\u2019re in significantly difficult trouble.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
