UPDATE: 11:00 PM CEST<\/strong><\/p>\n As protesters gear up for another showdown tomorrow, nightly chants of \u201cDeath to the dictator\u201d and \u201cDeath to Khamenei\u201d are again ringing out in many neighborhoods in Tehran and other cities, as here in the Janatabad neighborhood<\/a> of Tehran.<\/p>\n The aunt of Nika Shakarami, the 16-year-old brave Iranian female protester that was abducted, tortured, and beaten to death by regime security forces, and then pushed off a roof to claim she died in suicide has spoken out. Atash Shakrami said, “What do you want to know about Nika? Look for everything you want to know about her in the girls around you. They need freedom – equality. It is not easy to understand, but it is possible. But if you want to know how I look at Nika, I can tell you. What is important to me is that she chose with awareness and open eyes (you have seen her videos for sure). She went out to fight for freedom and never came back.” Nika Shakarami and many youngsters and women like her have laid down their lives for Iran\u2019s freedom and are a part of the reason that the Iranian public is now resolutely up in arms and will not back down until the downfall of the entirety of the regime.<\/p>\n UPDATE: 8:00 PM CEST<\/strong><\/p>\n Acknowledging the public’s disgust of state media, he added: “Why should some people eagerly accept the words of foreigners, but refuse to accept the words of our own media and news agencies?”<\/p>\n Deceitfully referring to the brutal dungeons, he added: “We don’t have school students in prison, and if there are any detained, it is for the sake of discussion, correction, and education. And now, let me tell the MEK that if you want to fight us, we will kill you all!”<\/p>\n UPDATE: 5:00 PM CEST<\/strong><\/p>\n Iran Uprising at a Glance \u2013 Day 29<\/p>\n Based partially on reporting by PMOI (MEK) Network in Iran<\/p>\n Friday, October 14, 2022 \u2013 4 PM CET<\/p>\n Today, protests were reported in at least 19 cities across Iran with people chanting slogans of “Death to Khamenei” and “Death to the dictator”, and youth throwing cocktails and setting fire to posters and properties that symbolize the state.\u200c These include the cities of Tehran, Karaj, Ilam, Fouladshahr, Shahinshahr, Arak, Baneh, Qom, Yazd, Quds city, Ahvaz, Bukan, Mashhad, Abhar, Shiraz, Kermanshah, Marivan, Saqqez, and Mirjaveh.<\/p>\n With each passing day, the role of young activists and Resistance Units in Iran in organizing protests in Tehran and nationwide becomes clear. \u00a0They have mobilized thousands of protesters in scores of cities across the country, particularly on Saturday and Wednesday of this week, through social media at a time of serious internet disruptions.<\/p>\n Currently, there is a call to gather tomorrow \u201cin all places where mercenaries and suppressive forces are not present\u201d to chant \u201cDown with the Dictator\u201d.<\/p>\n The activists are playing on the regime\u2019s fatigue with the protests as some videos show them running around aimlessly to suppress protests that dissipate to form at another corner before they arrive. The regime\u2019s forces are exhausting themselves even more after long hours of deployment<\/p>\n Eyewitnesses report that security forces are now continually present in all busy streets and squares to prevent people from protesting and prevent pedestrians from stopping.<\/p>\n Recent protests have been launched by highly nimble, mobile groups that join together, chant, and separate again in a flash-mob style whenever they find a chance, as can be seen in video posts on social media.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, regime insiders and apologists are suggesting off-ramps to the regime\u2019s hardcore. On Thursday, October 13, the editor of the Islamic Republic newspaper,\u00a0Masih Mohajeri, wrote that “protesters may end the uprising and get closer to state officials if they see that their economic problems are solved, and their civic rights are respected by those officials.” A mild criticism of the regime that does not explain how that would be possible, particularly since Khamenei has insisted on a harsh crackdown that is now ongoing.<\/p>\n UPDATE: 8:30 AM CEST<\/strong><\/p>\n Thursday marked the 28th<\/sup> day of Iran\u2019s nationwide uprising in the face of the regime\u2019s escalating crackdown across the country, coupled with internet disruptions aimed at preventing news of protests from leaking to the outside world and cloaking the regime\u2019s crimes. Protests have spread to 185 cities across all 31 provinces of Iran. According to information obtained by the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK), the regime has so far killed more than 400 people and arrested 20,000 others.<\/p>\n Read more<\/a><\/p>\n The clerical regime\u2019s IRGC, SSF, and army have focused on Sanandaj and other cities in Kurdistan to crush the courageous resistance of its people. The Penitentiary also known as Fashafouyeh, is one of the most notorious prisons in Iran and one of the largest. The Penitentiary, 32 kilometers south of Tehran, covers an area of 110 hectares. Among the 2,000 detainees, many are suffering serious injuries they encountered due to severe beatings by Iranian security agents or have been hit by\u00a0pellet bullets<\/a>. The 2,000 detainees require urgent and specialized treatment that must be provided for them.
