Gen. Hossein Salami reported that in the first two weeks of the uprising, the IRGC, the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/ncri-statements\/statement-iran-protest\/iran-khamenei-elevates-state-security-force-ssf-command-and-call-for-formation-of-ssfs-intelligence-organization-in-fear-of-an-uprising\/\" rel=\"noopener\">SSF<\/a>, and the Ministry of Intelligence had detained 9,654, 9,545, and 1,246 protesters, respectively.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;text-align: justify\">The regime has announced the release of some of the detainees in the meantime, but more have been arrested.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;text-align: justify\">According to this report, 42 percent of those arrested are under the age 20. Also, Salami asserted that some of the detainees were &#8220;organized&#8221; members of the People&#8217;s <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/english.mojahedin.org\" rel=\"noopener\">Mojahedin Organization<\/a> of Iran (PMOI\/MEK).<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;text-align: justify\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;text-align: left\"><strong>National Council of
