Uprising spread to 203 cities, number of deaths exceed 450, detained over 25,000\u00a0<\/i>in 6 weeks<\/i><\/h3>\n

According to reports by the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization<\/a> of Iran (PMOI\/MEK), the number of deaths in Iran\u2019s nationwide uprising, which spread to 203 cities in its sixth week is more than 450, and the number of detainees exceeds 25,000.<\/p>\n

Today, Friday, October 28, marking the 43rd day of the uprising, tens of thousands of locals in Zahedan took to the streets following the Friday prayer in Makki Mosque chanting: \u201cDeath to Khamenei,\u201d \u201cDeath to the dictator,\u201d \u201cDeath to Basiji,\u201d \u201cDeath to the spy,\u201d and \u201cMullahs must get lost.\u201d Since Yesterday, the IRGC forces have been patrolling the streets and have stationed their snipers in buildings surrounding the Makki Mosque. Similar protests broke out in Saravan, Iranshahr, and other cities of Sistan and Baluchistan province, southeast Iran.<\/p>\n

The IRGC and Special Unit forces opened fire on protesters, killing and injuring dozens until 2:00 PM local time. The clash between people and the IRGC forces continued in Saravan, Iranshahr, and Zahedan. Women and children are among the killed and wounded. People took some of the victims inside the Makki Mosque. One of the victims is a child killed by a bullet in the head. In Zahedan, people blocked some roads and continued hit-and-run clashes with fully armed suppressive forces.<\/p>\n

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi<\/a>, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), hailed the people of Zahedan, Saravan, Iranshahr, Souran, and throughout Sistan and Baluchistan, who have shaken the pillars of the clerical regime with their chants of \u201cDeath to Khamenei.\u201d They have given the IRGC and Basijis unforgettable lessons. While saluting the Baluchi youth, who were slain today, she urged all youths to rush to the aid of the people of Zahedan and stressed that the world must reject the mullahs\u2019 regime for its crimes against humanity and recognize the Iranian people\u2019s struggle to overthrow the regime.<\/p>\n
