The barbaric mullahs\u2019 regime ruling Iran, amputated\u00a0the\u00a0hand of a\u00a0prisoner\u00a0in Sari Prison\u00a0in\u00a0Mazandaran\u00a0Province, northern Iran,\u00a0on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The news website of the regime\u2019s judiciary, Mizan,\u00a0which\u00a0reported\u00a0the implementation of the\u00a0gruesome\u00a0punishment, added, \u201cdealing with thieves would increase the people\u2019s sense of security.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

For years,\u00a0the Iranian regime has\u00a0handed down barbaric punishments. On January 17, 2018, authorities in the Central Prison of Mashhad, northeastern Iran,\u00a0amputated\u00a0the\u00a0hand of a 34-year-old man for allegedly stealing livestock. This was while the real\u00a0<\/a>thieves, the mullahs,\u00a0are ruling<\/a>\u00a0the country<\/a> and stealing\u00a0billions of dollars of national wealth.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

On January 18, 2018, Amnesty International<\/a> strongly condemned\u00a0the\u00a0barbaric act of hand amputation and wrote, \u201cAmnesty International is outraged by reports that Iranian authorities have amputated the hand of a man convicted of theft.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cAmputation is torture plain and simple, and administering torture is a crime under international law. As a party to the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, Iran is legally obliged to forbid torture in all circumstances and without exception.\u202fThose responsible for ordering and executing such practices should know that they are liable to criminal prosecution under international law,”\u00a0the report quoted\u00a0Magdalena\u00a0Mughrabi, former Deputy Middle East and North Africa Director at Amnesty International.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Iran regime’s Prosecutor-General expressed regret on Wednesday that not enough people in\u00a0the\u00a0country are being punished for crimes with amputations because the country is trying to avoid international condemnation from human rights bodies or foreign governments.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Mohammad Jaafar\u00a0<\/a>Montazeri<\/a>, who referred to these barbaric acts as “divine punishments”, made these comments at a time when Iran has been repeatedly criticized for this sort of retributive justice, which the mullahs\u00a0claim\u00a0is mandated by God.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Multiple human rights conventions, including those that Iran has signed up to, describe these punishments as \u201ctorture\u201d and categorically reject their use.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Back in 2013, Iran\u2019s regime\u00a0unveiled a finger-amputating machine that was used in its strict punishment of thieves.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Photographs published at that time by state-run media showed a blindfolded man having his fingers severed by a crude amputation device.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Immediately after the public amputation, the local public prosecutor announced punishment\u00a0for\u00a0thieves is to become increasingly severe.\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
