Cossack is a reference to Reza Khan, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi\u2019s father, who was a commander of the Persian Cossack Brigade and launched the 1921 <em>coup d\u2019\u00e9tat<\/em>, which imposed the dark and bloody 57-year Pahlavi reign on the Iranian people.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In another development, on Tuesday, October 29, the anniversary of the birth of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/iran-protests\/25460-iranians-defy-regime-to-celebrate-cyrus-the-great?highlight=WyJjeXJ1cyIsImN5cnVzJyIsIidjeXJ1cyIsImN5cnVzJ3MiLCJ0aGUiLCIndGhlIiwidGhlJyIsInRoZSdib21iYXJkbWVudCciLCJ0aGUnbXVkZHkiLCJncmVhdCIsIidncmVhdCIsImdyZWF0JyIsImN5cnVzIHRoZSIsImN5cnVzIHRoZSBncmVhdCIsInRoZSBncmVhdCJd\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cyrus the Great<\/a>, young people tried to converge on his tomb in Pasargad, southwest Iran, despite extensive mobilization by the suppressive forces to block the people from reaching the location.
