Crowds attending memorial ceremonies of martyrs in several cities chanted anti-regime slogans, \u201cDeath to Khamenei\u201d<\/h3>\n

On Thursday, December 29, the 105th<\/sup>\u00a0day of the uprising<\/a>, the ceremony of the 40th<\/sup> day of martyrdom of Hamid Reza Rouhi was attended by a large crowd in Behesht Zahra Cemetery, Tehran, despite a heavy presence of suppressive forces preventing people from going to the martyr\u2019s burial site. The ceremony turned into an angry demonstration against the regime chanted “We pledge to the blood of our comrades – we will stand until the end,” “Hamid Reza is not dead, it is Seyyed Ali [Khamenei] who is dead,” “Death to the dictator,” “This year, is a year of sacrifice, Seyyed Ali (Khamenei) will be overthrown,” “We did not make sacrifices to reach compromise and praise the criminal Leader (Khamenei),” “Mullahs must get lost” and \u201cThis perished flower, dedicated to the homeland.\u201d \u00a0The suppressive forces attacked the people using batons, tear gas, sound bombs, and pellet guns, but the people gathered and lit fires and created roadblocks, and clashed with the agents. Others in Behesht Zahra joined the protesters by honking their cars and blocking the roads.<\/p>\n

In Dehgolan of Kurdistan, a large crowd attended the ceremony on the 40th<\/sup> day of the martyrdom of Mohsen Niazi. People chanted “Death to Khamenei” and “Death to suppressive agents.\u201d The people of Izeh attended the 40th-day\u00a0ceremony of the martyrs of Milad Saeedian Joo and Reza Shariati and chanted “Khamenei is a murderer, his rule is null and void.\u201d<\/p>\n

In Marvdasht, the 40th-day\u00a0ceremony of martyr Arman Emadi was held with chanting “We pledge to the blood of our comrades – we will stand until the end,” “Basij and IRGC agents are the same as ISIS” and “We did not make sacrifices to reach compromise and praise the criminal Leader (Khamenei),”<\/p>\n

\"Samirom-Ali-Abbasi\"<\/p>\n

In Semirom, Isfahan, the ceremony of the 40th<\/sup> day of martyrdom of Ali Abbasi turned into a mass demonstration chanting “Death to Khamenei, damn with Khomeini” and “I pledge to my martyred brother, I will take your revenge.” In Ahvaz, people chanted “I will kill whoever killed my sister” at the 40th-day\u00a0martyrdom ceremony of Atefeh Naami.<\/p>\n

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi<\/a>, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), said that today the people across Iran in the 40th-day\u00a0ceremonies honoring martyred heroes such as Hamidreza Rouhi in Tehran, Mohsen Niazi in Dehgolan, Reza Shariati in Izeh, Ali Abbasi in Semirom, Arman Emadi in Marvdasht and Atefeh Noami in Ahvaz, showed that they are determined to stand steadfast until the overthrow of the regime by chanting \u201cDeath to Khamenei.\u201d<\/p>\n
