In Urmia, snipers took positions on rooftops.<\/span><\/p>\n #IranProtests<\/a>:Martyrs of the nationwide uprising honored on 40th day memorial despite unprecedented security measures https:\/\/t.co\/KAnVPt99LM<\/a>#FreeAllProtesters<\/a> #Internet4Iran<\/a> #StopIranBloodshed<\/a><\/p>\n \u2014 NCRI-FAC (@iran_policy) December 26, 2019<\/a>\u00a0<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Reports from inside Iran via the MEK <\/a>indicate a bleak picture of brutal torture occurring in prisons in Tehran and other Iranian cities.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The crime against humanity, that began with the massacre of unarmed protesters in November, continues with mass arrests, arbitrary executions and torture, resulting in the deaths of prisoners, and harassment of thousands of families by not giving them any information about the fate of their children, as well as severing communications and withholding information.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The mullahs’ regime sees the international community’s silence and inaction as a green light to escalate its crimes against the Iranian people.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n A<\/span>c<\/span>c<\/span>ording to the <\/span>MEK<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>more than<\/span> 1500 protesters were killed last month by the regime’s security forces. <\/span>The MEK <\/a>has so far identified 601 of the martyrs by name.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Iranian opposition leader Mrs.\u202f<\/span>Maryam Rajavi<\/span><\/a>\u202fhas called on the United Nations to urgently send an international fact-finding mission to the prisons to meet with the detainees.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The United Nations must send fact-finding missions to #Iran<\/a> to investigate about those killed, injured and imprisoned.
