The keynote speaker of this event was<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/maryam-rajavi\/\" rel=\"noopener\"> Mrs. Maryam Rajavi,<\/a> the president-elect of the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/about-ncri\/ncri\/alternative\/\" rel=\"noopener\">National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI)<\/a>. The event and its panelists called for a firm policy vis-\u00e0-vis the Iranian regime while also supporting the leading role of the Iranian Resistance, particularly the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/english.mojahedin.org\/about-the-peoples-mojahedin-organization-of-iran-pmoi-mek\/\" rel=\"noopener\">People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK)<\/a> and the organization\u2019s Resistance Units network inside Iran, acting as the trailblazers of the ongoing uprising.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span data-contrast=\"auto\"><strong>Mrs. Rajavi<\/strong>, who joined the conference online, highlighted that the desire of the Iranian people for regime change has manifested itself in a major and enduring uprising. For many years, the advocates of the Iranian regime, as well as its allies, denied that the Iranian people are demanding regime change. Today, however, no one can deny the stark reality that the people of Iran want this regime overthrown. They want to live in a society based on freedom and democracy governed by a republic founded on democratic values.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Mrs. Rajavi also stressed that the EU\u2019s refusal to implement the EP\u2019s resolution, especially by not adding the IRGC to the EU terrorist list, is a huge disappointment for the Iranian protesters and human rights defenders.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cFor years, EU policy has been based on engagement with the mullahs\u2019 regime. The other side of which has been ignoring the voice of the Iranian people and the Resistance. The EU policy has been destructive, not only for the Iranian people but also for Europe. There is a line expressing our strong solidarity with Iranian youth, women, and men for each and every normal society and country. He based his decision on the Court of Justice, and the European Court must step in into this story. It\u2019s within reaching. And the present uprising of the Iranian people is also proof of that. The protest\u2019s oppression is terrible, murderous, and criminal. They reject the Shah dictatorship, and they reject the religious dictatorship. I could sign it immediately because everything there is what a true democrat wants. Separation of religion and state, equality between men and women, free elections, respect for all political persuasions, respect for all religions, freedom of religion, autonomy, and recognition of ethnic minorities, and autonomy, for instance, for Kurdistan, of course, in a united Iran. But when Borrel says that it&#8217;s necessary to have a court decision. To say it mildly, he is not telling the truth. We 100%, 200% agree with you. And I just wanted to tell you how much we think of you.
