Locals in Baluchistan again chanted popular slogans of the ongoing uprising, on its 135<sup>th<\/sup> day, such as \u201cDeath to [Ali] Khamenei\u201d, \u201cdown with the oppressor, be it Shah or the Supreme Leader,\u201d and \u201cOur tables are empty; Khamenei is a criminal.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">They once again demonstrated the democratic nature of the revolution in the making by rejecting both religious fascism and the deposed <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/9RH2wXQtFdo?t=424\" rel=\"noopener\">Shah\u2019s dictatorship<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Protesters also held signs rejecting the regime\u2019s plot and efforts to misguide the uprising, painting protesters in this southeastern province as separationists. \u00a0such as the recent pathetic campaign led by the former regime\u2019s TV host and celebrities-turned dissidents, naming the son of the former dictator Reza Pahlavi as their leader and \u201cadvocate\u201d and the authorities\u2019 efforts. The Baluchi protesters\u2019 \u00a0signs read: \u201cWe do not need an individual as our advocate\u201d and \u201cIf Kurds and Baluchies were separationists, they weren\u2019t fighting for Iran.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">January 27 &#8211; Zahedan, southeast <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Iran?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Iran<\/a> <br \/>People are in streets protesting and chanting &quot;Death to Khamenei!&quot;<br \/>Their placard rejects any return to the Shah&#39;s dictatorship or a monarchical rule.<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/IranRevolution?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#IranRevolution<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/%D9%85%D8%B1%DA%AF_%D8%A8%D8%B1_%D8%B3%D8%AA%D9%85%DA%AF%D8%B1_%DA%86%DB%95_%D8%B4%D8%A7%DB%95_%D8%A8%D8%A7%D8%B4%D9%87_%DA%86%DB%95_%D8%B1%D9%87%D8%A8%D8%B1?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#\u0645\u0631\u06af_\u0628\u0631_\u0633\u062a\u0645\u06af\u0631_\u0686\u06d5_\u0634\u0627\u06d5_\u0628\u0627\u0634\u0647_\u0686\u06d5_\u0631\u0647\u0628\u0631<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/pUK9gSwtIC\">pic.twitter.com\/pUK9gSwtIC<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; People&#39;s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK) (@Mojahedineng) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Mojahedineng\/status\/1619051363375190020?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 27, 2023<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">It is worth noting that Reza Pahlavi, who defends his father\u2019s and <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/anews\/who-is-who\/selling-a-dead-horse-reza-pahlavis-bid-to-market-a-trashed-monarchy\/\" rel=\"noopener\">grandfather\u2019s heritages<\/a>, has repeatedly acknowledged having close contact with the regime\u2019s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) while rejecting any sort of radical form of dissent.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">In <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/EznM-EYuYg4?t=1660\" rel=\"noopener\">an interview in 2018<\/a>, he said, \u201cI am in bilateral contacts with the (regime\u2019s) military, the IRGC, and the Basij. We are communicating. They are signaling their preparation and express willingness to align with the people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Due to the dark record of his father and grandfather, and his own connections with the regime\u2019s oppressive forces, Reza Pahlavi is despised by Iranians, mainly the ethnic minorities who suffered immensely at the hands of the Pahlavi dictatorships. Thus, in all of their protests, protesters in Sistan &amp; Baluchistan reject any return to that vicious dictatorship by chanting <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Mojahedineng\/status\/1613862170751533056\" rel=\"noopener\">slogans such as<\/a> \u201cdeath to the oppressor, be it Shah or Supreme Leader.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Friday\u2019s protest happened despite the regime\u2019s numerous efforts to intimidate the public by establishing many roadblocks and checkpoints at the cities\u2019 entrances, namely the province\u2019s capital, Zahedan. The protests erupted a day after locals in Izeh, southwest Iran continued their demonstrations. Locals in Izeh honored two Iran protest martyrs, Hossein Saidi and Mahmoud Ahmadi, on the fortieth day of their martyrdom, vowing to continue their path.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">January 27 &#8211; Izeh, southwest <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Iran?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Iran<\/a> <br \/>People are gathering at a ceremony for Saeed Saeedi, a protester killed by the regime&#39;s security forces during the recent protests.<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/IranRevolution?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#IranRevolution<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/%D9%85%D8%B1%DA%AF_%D8%A8%D8%B1_%D8%B3%D8%AA%D9%85%DA%AF%D8%B1_%DA%86%DB%95_%D8%B4%D8%A7%DB%95_%D8%A8%D8%A7%D8%B4%D9%87_%DA%86%DB%95_%D8%B1%D9%87%D8%A8%D8%B1?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#\u0645\u0631\u06af_\u0628\u0631_\u0633\u062a\u0645\u06af\u0631_\u0686\u06d5_\u0634\u0627\u06d5_\u0628\u0627\u0634\u0647_\u0686\u06d5_\u0631\u0647\u0628\u0631<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/n7CLN4mHSY\">pic.twitter.com\/n7CLN4mHSY<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; People&#39;s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK) (@Mojahedineng) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Mojahedineng\/status\/1619052747512287235?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 27, 2023<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">In Izeh, brave locals chanted anti-regime slogans and expressed their solidarity with the risen people in Sistan &amp; Baluchistan by saying, \u201cFrom Zahedan to Izeh, the country bleeds.\u201d This slogan was first chanted by locals in Zahedan when regime forces opened fire on protesters in Izeh during the first days of uprisings, rejecting the regime\u2019s bogus claims that Iranians in Sistan &amp; Baluchistan <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/iran-protests\/iran-protests-in-zahedan-outflank-regimes-oppression-and-plots\/\" rel=\"noopener\">are seeking separation<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The core message of protests in Zahedan and Izeh is the Iranian people\u2019s willingness to topple the regime at any cost in the fifth month of their uprising. Those protests have caused the regime\u2019s various plots to misguide the regime revolution in the making fall flat on the mullahs\u2019 faces.
