On Monday, the Iranian regime\u2019s supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, acknowledged the failure of his regime\u2019s president, Ebrahim Raisi, whose presidency he had described as the \u201cSweetest event\u201d in 2021.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In his remarks in a meeting<\/a> with some of the regime experts that was broadcasted by state TV, Khamenei acknowledged the regime\u2019s economic failure, thus reversing himself and the bogus claims he and Raisi had made about economic and social prosperity! <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Khamenei acknowledged \u201cpoverty and visible living problems,\u201d \u201cdifficult livelihood of the Iranian families,\u201d \u201cunemployment of millions of citizens and their immigration,\u201d and \u201ca lot of negative economic indicators.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe economic grievances and concerns you just said are real. We have a difficult livelihood for families in the country. The only solution to eradicate poverty and increase the well-being of families is economic growth,\u201d he said. Yet, by praising the regime\u2019s nuclear program, for which he has squandered billions of dollars of national wealth, Khamenei confirmed he was just shedding crocodile tears for the people.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He admitted that popular protests stem from the regime\u2019s corruption, mismanagement, and ineptitude.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He also admitted that the regime lost its international and economic illegitimacy by referring to the plunging value of Iran\u2019s national currency<\/a> against the U.S. dollar. \u201cIn the modern world, a country\u2019s situation is largely attributed to its economic state. So, when its economy declines and its national currency\u2019s value plunges, that country loses its place in terms of international ranking.\u201d\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Despite being the regime\u2019s highest authority, he dodged any responsibility and instead blamed it on other officials. \u201cOf course, I do not have an executive approach. I show the path and follow up with authorities on taking it.\u201d\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

While trying to lay the blame for the country\u2019s economic crunch on rival factions and executive branches of the government, Khamenei said: \u201cNow we are dealing with some contradictory decisions by the executive branch. One organization decides to act, and the other rejects it and does the opposite. Yet, both are sitting behind the same desk in the government\u2019s sessions. This shouldn\u2019t happen.\u201d\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
