Recently, the Iranian regime announced its decision to sell public properties. This procedure, supervised by a delegation of seven top officials, is considered the largest \u201cstate corruption\u201d since the clerical regime took power.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The regime\u2019s supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, has approved the decision, and the parliament is trying to fiddle with laws to legalize this issue, calling it the \u201cproductive assets plan.\u201d There is a delegation of seven top authorities close to Khamenei who enjoy impunity over their decisions on what to sell.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The plan comes after nearly two decades of a so-called \u201cprivatization plan\u201d and is considered Tehran\u2019s last-ditch effort to compensate for its huge budget deficit. The budget\u2019s lion\u2019s share goes to the regime\u2019s security apparatus, mainly the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC). With the privatization plan, IRGC<\/a> succeeded in dominating the country\u2019s financial streams, and with the new plan, it would literally own the country. <\/span>
\nThis shady plan has caused much stir in the regime\u2019s ranks, with many officials and state media protesting what they describe as having a \u201clack of transparency\u201d and would create further problems.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
