The widespread participation of Iranian women in recent uprisings is reminiscent of their role during the 1979 revolution against the monarchic dictatorship in Iran. Her funeral was held in\u00a0<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Sirjan\" rel=\"noopener\">Sirjan, Kerman province<\/a>, in southern Iran.\u00a0Maryam Arvin, a lawyer, passed away two months after being released from prison, the Kerman Lawyers Association announced on February 7. The statement did not specify the reason for Maryam Arvin\u2019s death.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Maryam Arvin was arrested on November 26, 2022, during a court session in Sirjan. This phrase is \u201cthe sedition of 1979,\u201d referring to the people\u2019s revolution in 1979 that brought an end to the monarchical dictatorship in Iran. It is being used by the remnants of that Pahlavi who fled the country after the revolution.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The strange aspect of this term is its coincidence with the term used by the current mullah-led regime in Iran to describe the people\u2019s uprising in 2009 following a\u00a0<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/irannewsupdate.com\/news\/infightings\/pahlavi-monarchy-resurrected-the-mullahs-of-iran\/\" rel=\"noopener\">fraudulent<\/a>\u00a0election.
