As Iran\u2019s ruling theocracy intensifies its oppressive measures, state-run media and officials warn about people\u2019s reactions and how the regime\u2019s \u201cplans\u201d could backfire and burn the entire establishment. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In an April 11 article titled, \u201cThe Dynamic Nature of Iran\u2019s Society<\/a>,\u201d the state-run Sharq newspaper wrote: \u201cThe Iranian society is one the non-European communities with a rich history of social movements. It entered this phase earlier than other societies. This movement was formed in the second half of the 19<\/span>th<\/span> century, centering on fighting foreign influence and domestic tyranny.\u201d <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThis dynamic nature in the last 150 years has caused power to transition at least five times,\u201d the article writes, referring to Iran\u2019s Constitutional Revolution, Reza Khan\u2019s coup<\/a> and the establishment of another tyranny, the rise and fall of Dr. Mohammad Mosaddeq\u2019s national government, and anti-monarchic revolution hijacked by the ruling theocracy. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Of course, Sharq refrains from referring to the Iranian people\u2019s struggle for freedom and the leading role of the country\u2019s organized Resistance movement, the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK), which creates and maintains this dynamism.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

However, the article warns the regime\u2019s supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, that the society \u201cmaintains its dynamism, and it has intensified in recent years due to major social movements. Authorities should pay attention to the society\u2019s demands and its power. Otherwise, they will have the same fate as previous fallen systems.\u201d <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

By pointing to the major uprisings in Iran in the last few years, Sharq writes: \u201cSuppose the process of managing an individual or social crisis is ignored. In that case, three consequences can be imagined for the individual or society: suffering and confusion, frustration and anger, and rebellion. So, authorities should pay attention to the dimensions and consequences of this [social] crisis.\u201d\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
