On April 15, Iranian regime president Ebrahim Raisi dismissed two additional cabinet members, the Minister of Agriculture and the president of the Planning and Budget Organization. Unlike the Ministers of Education and Labor, who had resigned, the recently booted cabinet members didn\u2019t want to \u201cvoluntarily\u201d leave!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

To consolidate power in his regime, Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei had spoken of the vision of a \u201cyoung and Hezbollahi\u201d<\/a> government, which would effectively be fully aligned with his desires and policies. Accordingly, he ensured that Raisi would win the sham 2021 presidential elections. He later described Raisi\u2019s ascendance to the presidency as the \u201cSweetest event in 2021.\u201d <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Now, Khamenei\u2019s \u201cyoung and Hezbollahi\u201d government holds the record of changes in the cabinet since the mullahs came to power in 1979. Some officials acknowledged that \u201cchanges in the cabinet continue\u201d and consider the Ministers of Economy and Industry are next in line. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

These changes in Raisi\u2019s government were supposedly aimed at closing gaps in the so-called \u201cconsolidated system.\u201d Yet, it has so far failed and been mocked by state media. Some speak of \u201cThe domino of dismissals and resignations in the 13th government\u201d and \u201cWhat is the message of changes in the government?\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAfter these changes, the president must give a convincing explanation to the people. After all, people have questions, and if they don’t get the answers, their behavior will be different, or their protest will appear as social unrest,\u201d the state-run Farhikhtegan daily<\/a> wrote on April 16.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The lineup of Ebrahim Raisi\u2019s cabinet is in line with Khamenei\u2019s vision of a \u201cyoung and hezbollahi\u201d government, which in other words means old regime veterans who have been involved in decades of financial corruption, repression, and terrorism.#Iran<\/a>https:\/\/t.co\/0No0logaDm<\/a><\/p>\n
