Mrs. Maryam Rajavi: Khamenei is attempting to quell the anger of the Iranian people, but religious fascism cannot evade its inevitable downfall. It is imminent that the leaders of the regime will be held accountable for their actions.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Early this morning on Wednesday, May 10, the Iranian regime hanged four prisoners in Gohardasht prison and three prisoners in Qezelhessar prison, two of whom had been imprisoned for nine years. In addition, another prisoner was hanged in Kermanshah.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, the families and relatives of the prisoners executed in Qezelhessar prison protested in front of the facility, decrying the unjust treatment of their children. However, the repressive forces responded with violence, using batons, tear gas, aerial fire, and paintballs against the families. Despite this, the families continued to shout and throw stones at the officers, with one protestor being hospitalized for severe injuries sustained during the altercation.<\/p>\n The day before, a fellow Baluch prisoner named Najmuddin Es\u2019haq Zehi was hanged in Semnan prison. The day before that, a prisoner was executed in Dezful for killing an SSF agent in August 2021. This is part of a new wave of executions that began last week, resulting in the death of at least 67 prisoners, including 26 Baluch compatriots.<\/p>\n Mrs. Maryam Rajavi<\/a>, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), praised the families who protested against the executions and stated that Khamenei is attempting to quell the outrage of the Iranian people by carrying out these executions, but this is a futile effort as religious fascism is destined to fall. She went on to state that these atrocities only serve to further fuel the Iranian people’s uprising against the regime. The regime’s leaders will soon face accountability for their actions.<\/p>\n Mrs. Rajavi also urged the United Nations, the European Union, and their member countries to take immediate and effective action to save the lives of prisoners facing execution.
