The Iranian regime has been trying to prevent protests and strikes by teachers and workers at any costs, as revealed in a leaked document obtained and published by \u201cGhyamSarnegouni\u201d<\/a> (\u201cRise to Overthrow\u201d in Persian), a group of Iranian dissidents that managed to breach the servers of the regime\u2019s presidential offices on May 29.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The document is a \u201cvery confidential\u201d letter from the regime\u2019s Cultural and Defensive Publicity Organization of the General Staff of the Armed Forces to the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council and the commander of Imam Sadiq HQ, detailing some suggestions and requirements and basic considerations related to Iran\u2019s national Teachers\u2019 Day and the International Worker’s Day.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

While tacitly acknowledging that the ruling theocracy has no meaningful solution to the country\u2019s social and economic crises, the letter calls for more deceptive policies, ordering state media to twist the truth and reflect the non-existing \u201cpositive actions\u201d of Ebrahim Raisi\u2019s government to improve teachers and workers\u2019 livelihood.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The leaked letter also shows how much the regime is afraid of the connection between the strikes and protests of workers and teachers, desperately trying to \u201cvigilantly prevent the formation of a network that connects workers’ and teachers’ gatherings and strikes.\u201d\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The documents, signed by IRGC Brig. Gen. Abolfazl Shekarchi highlights the role of the organized opposition, or as he says, \u201cthe enemy,\u201d by so-called \u201crevealing their intentions to disrupt the educational system and economic centers to destabilize the country.\u201d\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
