The General Assembly of the State of Connecticut<\/a> in the United States has issued a statement in support of the Iranian people’s efforts to achieve freedom in Iran. The statement was supported by a bipartisan majority in the House and Senate of the state, endorsing Maryam Rajavi’s Ten-Point Plan for a secular republic of Iran.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n 85 members of the 151-member House of Representatives of the State of Connecticut and 22 Senators out of 36 members of the state Senate signed the statement. They expressed solidarity with the Iranian people and their aspirations for a new state that respects human rights and dignity of all individuals.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The statement highlighted that the people of Iran have been deprived of their fundamental freedoms and have rejected both the monarchical dictatorship and religious despotism, as evident in their protest slogans.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The majority of the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Connecticut also noted that the majority of members of the US Congress have demonstrated solidarity with the Iranian people through Resolution 100<\/a>, which supports Maryam Rajavi’s 10-point plan<\/a> for Iran’s future.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The statement also highlighted that the Iranian regime has suppressed ethnic and religious minorities, depriving them of their basic human rights and executing them in many cases. The minorities affected include Iranian Kurds, Baluchis, Arabs, Christians, Jews, Baha’is, Zoroastrians, and even Sunni Muslims.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t\n\t\t\t
