Urgent Call to Halt the Machinery of Execution and Religious Fascist Massacre<\/h3>\n

On the morning of Sunday, November 5, the brutal regime’s executioners put an end to the life of Qasem Abasteh, a Sunni prisoner who had endured 14 years of incarceration in Karaj’s Qezelhessar Prison. Qasem Abasteh was arrested in December 2009, and subjected to severe torture to extract forced confessions. In March 2016, he was unjustly sentenced to execution on fabricated charges of “waging war against God,” “spreading corruption on Earth,” “actions against national security,” and “propaganda against the regime” by the criminal judge Mohammad Moghisei (Naserian). In June 2018, his death sentence was confirmed by the infamous executioner, Judge Abolqasem Salavati, nicknamed \u2018the Hanging Judge\u2019.<\/p>\n

Qasem Abasteh, who had been suffering from thyroid cancer while in prison, was deprived of even the most basic medical care.<\/p>\n

On October 28, a 20-year-old prisoner named Behzad Davoodi was executed in Esfarayen. On the first day of November, the regime’s executioners in Qezelhessar Prison executed another prisoner, Majid Ertefa. As a result, seven prisoners were executed in Qezelhessar on that day, six of whose names had been previously announced in earlier statements. The number of recorded executions in the past two weeks now stands at 43.<\/p>\n

The ruling religious fascism in Iran desperately attempts to suppress the people’s uprising and prevent the inevitable downfall by means of executions and massacres within Iran, as well as warmongering in the region. However, these crimes only further enrage the people, igniting the volcano of their anger. The Iranian Resistance calls for immediate action by the United Nations, the European Union, and member states to halt the regime of the mullahs’ execution machine and save the lives of those on the brink of execution.<\/p>\n
