In circumstances where the recognition of a market-oriented approach is not officially acknowledged, and the government staunchly advocates for control over market mechanisms in both theory and practice, privatization seems to be nothing more than a means to auction off national assets, widen the sphere of influence for groups connected to power structures, and exacerbate the growth and spread of corruption.”

Iran, a Country Unlike Anywhere!

Watch this video on YouTube<meta itemprop="description" content="June 2022—From economy to social life, there is hardly any field left untouched and safe from the Iranian regime’s corruption, ineptitude, and mismanagement. Decades of warmongering, oppression and institutionalized corruption have left Iran’s economy and people’s lives in ruins. The situation reaching the stage where the tightly controlled state media begrudgingly admit some facts. The state-run Mostaghel daily acknowledged parts of Iran’s crisis in its article “Where in the World?” on April 26. The article reads: Where in the world does the government dominate sports? Where in the world does the government control banks and manipulates the market as it wishes? Where in the world does the government plunder 350,000 trillion rials of the people’s wealth? Where in the world does the government control the currency and pockets billions of dollars by manipulating foreign exchange rates? Where in the world does the government play with the stock market, make a few wealthy, and destroy many people's lives? Where in the world does the government change fuel prices overnight and inflames protests? Where in the world are relatives of top officials like the president and ministers corrupt to the core and steel billions of dollars of the nation's assets with impunity? Where in the world does inflation hover above 50%? Where in the world does the government dominate the automotive industry and rapidly increase prices? Where in the world exists an “underprivileged foundation” that gives public property to officials for free? Where in the world do workers’ and teachers’ salaries drop from $500 to under $200 in eight months? Where in the world does the government levy tax on the poor while the rich and celebrities are tax-exempt ? Where in the world do officials chant slogans against the U.S. and E.U. while sending their children over there? Where in the world is the so-called national media funded by public wealth but serves the ruling class instead of the people? What country in the world has dozens of open cases in FIFA, and got excluded from multiple competitions? Where in the world does a simple issue like holding a sports match become a national crisis? Where in the world does a TV host need the president’s permission for a show? Where in the world do lecturers and presidents of universities change when governments change? Where in the world do you find people deprived of a roof over their heads after years of hard work? The facts Mostaghel acknowledged are the tip of an iceberg of the regime’s crime and corruption. The state-run media are no longer able to whitewash the regime’s corruption. So, where in the world and history, a totalitarian regime like the theocracy ruling Iran has survived? Yes, this is Iran under t he mullahs’ rule… This is Iran standing on a volcano of anger. An anger waiting for a tiny chance to erupt. This is Iran, a country where the MEK affiliated Resistance Units have been actively organizing and directing anti-regime protests, and popularizing the slogans of “death to Khamenei, death to Raisi.” This is the voice of the people who demand regime change in Iran to live a decent life. The true extent of the embezzled wealth from the Iranian people remains hidden, as investigative journalism and bodies that are supposed to apply checks and balances are tightly controlled by various intelligence and security apparatuses under Khamenei’s influence.

Yet, the ultimate consequences of this widespread corruption are evident. Despite enduring decades of international sanctions, the regime consistently funds ambitious military and security endeavors both domestically and abroad.
