Lufthansa Suspends Tehran Flights, Middle East on Alert for Potential Iran Attacks<\/h3>\n

BERLIN\/DUBAI, April 10 (Reuters) – German airline Lufthansa\u00a0(LHAG.DE), opens a new tab<\/a> and said on Wednesday it had suspended flights to Tehran due to the situation in the Middle East, which is on alert for possible Iranian retaliation for a suspected Israeli air strike on Iran’s embassy in Syria.<\/p>\n

An Iranian news agency briefly stoked tensions when it published an Arabic report on social media platform X saying all airspace over Tehran had been closed for military drills. The agency then removed the report and denied it had issued such news.<\/p>\n

Countries in the region and the United States have been on high alert and preparing for a possible attack by Iran since April 1 when Israeli warplanes were suspected of\u00a0bombing the Iranian embassy<\/a>\u00a0compound in Syria.<\/p>\n

How Iran\u2019s Regime Tries to Fortify Its Rule Through Intensifying Class Disparity<\/h3>\n

Iran\u2019s political landscape, tainted and occupied by clerics, regardless of internal or international dimensions, cannot evade the astronomical growth of class disparities. It has been emphasized consistently that class disparity is a fundamental factor that ultimately will undermine the theocratic regime of regime supreme leader Ali Khamenei.\u00a0The class divide is a tool in the hands of the regime to purportedly keep the backbone of the Iranian nation bent, suppressing any intellectual, physical, or professional capacity for movement, protest, or uprising. The exacerbation of class disparity and the failure to stem the tide of embezzlement, theft, and governmental looting, coupled with poverty and destitution, lie at the heart of the regime\u2019s ideological strategy to suppress the energies of the Iranian people. This policy, under the leadership of Khamenei, is orchestrated to \u201cpreserve the regime at any cost.\u201d<\/p>\n

Housing in Iran Is Becoming Increasingly Expensive and Unobtainable<\/h3>\n

When Ebrahim Raisi was appointed as the Iranian regime\u2019s president by Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in August 2021, he promised: \u201cWe will build 4 million housing units!\u201d He also promised to control inflation, including housing inflation.<\/p>\n

According to official statistics of the regime in July 2021, the average price per square meter of housing was 309.7 million Iranian rials. \u00a0In less than three years, in February 2024, the Central Bank of the regime announced the price of each square meter of housing to be 810 million rials.<\/p>\n

So, Raisi\u2019s promise to control inflation seems to have resulted in a significant increase of 500 million rials in the price per square meter of housing. Currently, in the third year, there is no news of housing construction, and only one member of the Majlis (parliament) announced that \u201cthe production of 2 million units is on the agenda.\u201d This means that there is only a mention of it on the agenda, without any concrete steps taken such as groundbreaking or actual construction.<\/p>\n

Mohseni Ejei, Iran\u2019s Judiciary Chief Hints at Boosting Mandatory Hijab Street Harassment<\/h3>\n

A week after Ali Khamenei\u2019s re-emphasis on the enforcement of the compulsory hijab, the regime\u2019s Chief Justice said that the clerical regime was not in a good situation in terms of \u201chijab and chastity\u201d; a statement that according to some, could mean stricter hijab harassment by the regime\u2019s morality police and hijab enforcers.<\/p>\n

In a meeting with the heads of some of the state-run media, Gholam-Hossein Mohseni Ejei said, \u201cI still believe that by following the existing laws, the state of chastity and hijab can be improved until the relevant law is passed in this field.\u201d<\/p>\n

These kinds of statements are not new. On October 23, 2023, the Iranian Judiciary Chief ordered prosecutors, the police, and the Ministry of Interior to take action and not wait for the approval of the bill related to \u201cchastity and hijab<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sudan\u2019s Civil War and the Shadow of Iranian regime Drones<\/h3>\n

A year into Sudan\u2019s brutal civil war, a senior Sudanese military source told Reuters that Iranian-made military drones have turned the tide. They claim the drones have halted the opposing forces\u2019 advance and even allowed the army to retake territory around the capital.<\/p>\n

According to the same report, six anonymous Iranian sources, along with local officials and diplomats, confirmed to Reuters that the Sudanese army has been using Iranian regime drones for several months.<\/p>\n

This bloody conflict began a year ago between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), a militia led by General Mohamed Hamdan Daglo, the country\u2019s former deputy leader.\u00a0The presence of Iranian regime drones in Sudan has been previously reported by Bloomberg and Sudanese media.<\/p>\n
