In a significant move, the Iranian parliament has approved<\/a> a measure to enhance and broaden the scope of the Organization of Defensive Innovation and Research, commonly known as SPND, within the Defense Ministry. This decision, which was previously under the stewardship of Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, the mastermind behind the regime’s nuclear program before his assassination, marks a pivotal step in the Iranian regime’s defense strategy.<\/p>\n

Abolfazl Amouee, the spokesperson for the Parliamentary Security Commission, emphasized the urgency of this initiative, stating<\/a>, “The purpose of establishing this organization is essential to ensure that we can achieve advancements in the face of emerging and evolving threats and technologies in the defense and security domains worldwide. Today, competition among nations in technology has become a strategic imperative, and in pursuit of this strategy, every country invests the necessary capital to stay at the forefront of this technology. Some of these technologies are disruptive technologies, while others enhance our ability to counter enemy threats. For example, in this organization, scientists are working in areas such as laser technology, nuclear defense, as well as topics like electromagnetism and acoustics, presenting their achievements to the country’s defense sector.”<\/p>\n
