In a statement to the UK Parliament, Andrew Mitchell, the UK\u2019s Deputy Foreign Secretary, declared that the UK is prepared to work with international partners to utilize all available options, including activating the “snapback” mechanism and terminating the Iran nuclear deal, in response to Iranian regime’s continued violations of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).<\/p>\n

Mitchell’s remarks<\/a> came after a question from Member of Parliament Anthony Higginbotham, who expressed concerns about Iran’s nuclear program exceeding the limits set by the JCPOA and going far beyond what is necessary for peaceful purposes.<\/p>\n

In his response, Mitchell acknowledged the gravity of the situation, stating, “We are ready, alongside our international partners, to use all available options to address the problems you have outlined, including activating the snapback mechanism and ending the JCPOA in relation to Iran.”<\/p>\n
