Iran is reeling from a catastrophic flood crisis as torrential rains continue to wreak havoc across the nation. According to local and state media reports, 23 provinces are grappling with extensive flooding, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake.<\/p>\n
The affected provinces include East and West Azerbaijan, Alborz, Isfahan, Ilam, Bushehr, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, South Khorasan, Semnan, Razavi Khorasan, North Khorasan, Khuzestan, Fars, Kurdistan, Kerman, Kermanshah, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, Lorestan, Markazi, Hormozgan, Hamedan, and Yazd.<\/p>\n
Unfortunately, in the floods of Marvdasht, four children lost their lives. The state-run website “Sharq” reported<\/a>, “Unprecedented flooding and inundation in Marvdasht have claimed the lives of four children.” Intense rainfall, flooding of roads, and the flow of floods trapped four individuals in Marvdasht, leading to their tragic demise.<\/p>\n Despite mounting calls for urgent action, the Raisi government’s response has been woefully inadequate. Reports indicate a disturbing trend of inaction and incompetence, with authorities failing to provide timely assistance to affected areas.
