In a recent interview with Sky News Arabia, Major General Osama Ali, a member of the Palestinian National Council, vehemently criticized the Iranian regime’s purported support for the Palestinian cause, labeling it as harmful and counterproductive.<\/p>\n

During the broadcast, Ali stated, “The people of Palestine do not need the support of the Iranian regime, which sits above us, dumps garbage on us, and destroys us.” He further emphasized that Palestinians are capable of determining their own needs and aspirations without external interference from Iran.<\/p>\n

Ali implored the Iranian regime to cease its interventions, stating, “We don’t need the Iranian regime to help us and impose itself upon us. Leave us alone and focus on your own issues. The Palestinian people know what they want and what they do not want. You have driven us to destruction and madness.”<\/p>\n

He accused Tehran of using its financial resources to destabilize the region, mentioning Yemen, Iraq, Lebanon, and Syria as examples of countries affected by Iranian interference. “You have ruined everything. Leave us alone. We don’t want your help. The people themselves will support us and address our issues.”<\/p>\n

Ali’s remarks highlighted the widespread frustration among Palestinians regarding the clerical regime’s involvement in their affairs. He dismissed Tehran’s actions as self-serving and detrimental, saying, “This is a disaster. You claim to help us but only bring us harm and insult us.”<\/p>\n

The Council today extended\u00a0until 27 July 2025\u00a0<\/strong>the restrictive measures in view of Iran\u2019s military support for Russia\u2019s war of aggression against Ukraine and for armed groups and entities in the Middle East and the Red Sea region. Existing restrictive measures will continue to be reviewed annually.\u00a0Currently, the sanctions regime applies to 12 persons\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0nine entities<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Those targeted are subject to an\u00a0asset freeze<\/strong>, and the\u00a0provision of funds or economic resources<\/strong>, directly or indirectly, to them or for their benefit is\u00a0prohibited<\/strong>. Additionally, a\u00a0travel ban\u00a0<\/strong>to the EU applies to the natural persons listed.<\/p>\n

After power outages in some industrial units due to electricity shortages in Iran and unprecedented consumption records in the summer heat, the head of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce has now reported power cuts to pharmaceutical factories.<\/p>\n

According to ILNA news agency, Mahmoud Najafi-Arab announced on Sunday, July 14, that the pharmaceutical industry, like other industries in the country, has been affected by electricity imbalances and spends the hot days of the year with\u00a0power outages<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The head of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce also pointed to the currency supply problems of pharmaceutical companies, stating that these companies are even facing challenges in securing rials and cannot obtain the financial resources needed to provide working capital.<\/p>\n

She undertook this action to protest the violation of her rights, including being deprived of leave on bail. The authorities at Fardis (Kachouii) Prison in\u00a0Karaj<\/a> have prevented her from being granted leave.<\/p>\n

Fatemeh Tadrisi, a teacher residing in Tehran, was\u00a0arrested by security forces<\/a>\u00a0on May 9, 2023, during a teachers\u2019 protest in Baharestan Square, Tehran, and was\u00a0transferred<\/a>\u00a0to Qarchak Varamin Prison. After completing the interrogation process, she was transferred to Fardis (Kachouii) Prison in Karaj on August 28, 2023. Her charges include inciting and provoking people to warfare and massacre, propaganda against the regime, insulting Khamenei, and forming a group with the intention of disrupting national security.<\/p>\n
